I've been doing OTA updates on vix with no issues on 3.2, currently on 021 and box is running sweet only thing it does do is change the name of the box to maxdigital xp1000 but doesn't cause any problems, I can go into network/device setup and box doesn't crash.
 
No it's a back up image from a Facebook page I use but it's a very good back up I've never had no problems with it box hardly crashes and is very responsive, also I'm using the latest version of your skin so it can't be that that's crashing your box.

It never fixed my problem anyway. grrr. Is anyone on VIX able to press Device setup with out crashing their box.
setup...system..network...device setup.

I don't know if it's something in my skin or this vix build.

Working on vix 3.2.005 on 2s with other skin.
Shows the 5 options.

Will flip over to ur 1.57 now
Yeh Works on that too.


Could it be the online update changed more than just the box descriptor? Lol
 
Built my own backup of 5.1 kiddac using your guide so Hats off to you sir. Quick question though, sly hd channels are showing up in place of the sd ones. How do I change that in the bouquets. I've got swap channels as yes.
 
It ok I have found the bug now. I have an include file that shows screen names for screens I haven't skinned. As this doesn't have in all the elements this particular screen is looking for its crashing. If I remove this helper file all is working again. Thanks for everyones help.

Ask general questions in the forum or my guinea pigs thread please. You answered your own question, I've got swap channels as yes, That replaces sd channels with available HD ones. Surely that is the better option. Conversation over. Thanks.

Its cool dude. Its just a starting block like you said. Once everyone's up and running they should learn to do their own.
 
that's been fixed. In fact I might do an upload now. Nothing much been done over the last couple of days. Just trudging through the menus one by one. All boring stuff. What I have done. HDMICEC. Input devices. Log Screens. openwebif, Software update screens (again). I was just about to start on all the network screens but then I had that crash problem. So it's probably a bit late to start them tonight. So might as well do an update.

Just flashed my presetup box today with clean openatv 5.1 and followed the guinea pigs step by step guide.

Applied ur 1.6.1 version of ur skin but only info page it says v1.58

And then when i go into my file list it isnt skinned like ive seen on others posts as this is what im presented with

Ive just installed latest v1.612 but my file lists dont seem to be skinned like others ive seen posting screenshots on here. Am i doing something wrong?

ive just installed v1.612 for the first time and my file lists screen doesnt appear to be skinned like others have via screenshots on here suggest. what am i doing wrong?

you're not doing anything wrong. Its just openatv uses enhanced movie center for the movies as default. I haven't skinned this yet. You can easily switch back to movie player (which is skinned) by going into the plugins menu, click enhanced movie center and disable it.
