Cant believe how much more snappy my box is right now. Was thinking i might have needed to upgrade to a H2S but kiddac youve just saved me £85 lol.

I know why some people had problems overwriting an old version now. I named it the wrong version. 1.7-2015112015 instead of 1.7-20151112. I have corrected this now on dropbox. My next update might need a clean install again as this has broke the version sequence.

Quite a few new faces on my thread this week. which is always good. I recommend you speed read this entire thread. It's really isn't that long as lots of it is pictures. There is lots of useful information in the thread regarding settings, how to get to certain screens, fixing problems relating to my skin etc and if nothing else you can see the journey this bad boy has taken over the last 2 months. From a complete amateur to hopefully giving you the best copycat skin ever made ;)

try loading another skin first (I.e default) and then going back to slyk.

I reflashed to openatv 5.1 - how do I check what version of the skin is running? On the info panel it says 1.6 - is that because you've just not updated that screen?
 
OPKG was detecting it as an old version so not updating unless you force install or --force-downgrade. I can't comment on speed as I'm testing on a very fast Duo2, so no noticeable difference. Everything appears to be OK though, so all good - just waiting for everyone to start asking for the group tabs on the EPG page again :D
 
Im probably beginning to sound like a bit of a nuisance but in the epg menu if i hold tv button i dont get urs with 12 rows it just stays same value as regular epg rows setting of 8

ive deleted the old slyk skin and downloaded the latest ipk file to my box and when installed the asked to be restarted but still cant see the new slyk skin in the sknis section

anyone help further please?

i checked in the var-volatile -tmp folder and there was no old ipk slyk file just the new one i ftpd
 
I would suggest doing a full restart of the box and not just the gui as i had to do that in order for things to be picked up

Set Picture in Graphic to YES
 
I originally overruled the number of rows to 12 on the larger epg in my code. But doing this the user had no control over it. Not good for people with poor eye sight that use larger fonts. It now just picks up the number of rows in the settings. So both the smaller epg and larger epg use the same setting.

Think I've figured it out now...the boot logo of the joker weren't allowing it to install properly

just removed the joker bootlogo and it seems to working now
 
Kudos to Kiddac,l tried to installed the new update but not installed for me. l deleted the former update still new update refused to install.
 
did you uninstall it from plugins first change to default skin then uninstall from plugins then install ipk that worked for me great work again kiddac
