When recording in any bouquet, for example bbc1 the box will only let me change channel to other channels in same bouquet eg bbc alba bbc4 etc. soon as i stop recording i can navigate as normal. Using zgemma h2s. any idea guys. cheers.

My brother made similar upgrade, after several hours of head scratching and beer drinking we came across this image. Installed, up and running within 20 mins. Excellent setup, feels very much like sky.

I would like to ask you a (perhaps slightly off topic) question though, how does the picture quality of your new H2S compare to the V5S. In my brother's case the V5S is significantly better which is an obvious disappointment and something that deters me from making a similar upgrade to my own setup... I ask because I guess it's possible that the brother's new H2S has a fault?

Hi mate, thanks for your reply. I've managed to sort everything now using this build, I just flashed my box with a USB and it was done in less than 3 mins!
With regards to your question, I found the picture quality better on the Zgemma, looks sharper than the v5s openbox. Are the settings right on your bros Zgemma? I.e. Set to 1080p and not 720i or anything?

Means your using a single input receiver, which will only let you watch other channels in same transponder frequency as you are experiencing. For ability to record & turn over you need dual tuner receiver (H.2S) instead. Exact same receiver only with 2 LNB inputs to allow you to turn over whilst recording etc.
 
Hi Gentlemen and Ladies.

I have a H2S box which I am running Sucmnsee 3.2 Openvix which I hope to upgrade to the latest version. I have tried to flash the box but it will not have it. I have read a huge amount of threads with different suggestions on what to do with the USB (change them ,format them turn them the right way up!!!. I know that the USBs that I have are ok as I flashed the Openvix from the OpenATV which came with the box. so it is not the USB I have loaded the root directory with the Zgemma folder using uppercase and lowercase Z just in case it was case sensitive. So before I pull what is left of my hair out can someone please advise me whether I need to upgrade versiond at a time or can I jump to 4.1.016 from 3.2?

Hi Dsayers2014 many thanks for taking the time to respond so quickly.

I have done some more reading and it is somewhat more confusing (or I am more confused). I assume that wooshbuild 4.0 is different to Sucmnsee 4.1.001 as one states that it is for H2S and the later for the 2S.

Your answer suggests that I can use Sucmnsee 4.1.016 although it is advertised for
Backup of Vix 4.1.001 17/04/2016 for zgemmastar 2s (will work fine on h1, h2 & s too ) NOT H2s, Hs, H2h VERSION BOXS.

Hi Dsayers

I tried image manager and all was going well until i received an error message stating that there was an issue with the install and the H2S would need to load back the old image and reboot.

The box reloaded the old image and rebooted and to my surprise hung there; I had managed to brick it. I turned it on and off many times without any joy I wasn't very happy but it wasn't going to beat me!

I started reading lots of feeds which effectively stated that the box needed to be re-flashed which is where I entered this conundrum! Long story short managed to re-flash Wooshbuild 4.0 which was remarkably easy and user friendly and I have a functioning H2S again.:yes!:👍

Thanks. The brother is happier with his picture now so I went ahead and ordered one for myself. I'm not as fussy as him and his ridiculously large screen makes my 42" look like a portable! TBH, I know there's better boxes out there but not within my meagre budget!
 
Happend on stock openatv and vix. I now still have woosh h2h on my box as havnt had a play for a while and it hasnt happend since dont no if hes changed something or what but its working.
