Hi, just got my box pre-loaded with openvix apollo version 23 it says. Should I flash the version that most people here seem to like or will the version I have be ok? Sorry but I'm new to this.

Having trouble setting up my line. Another thing, when I go to "Image Information" the model is Maxdigital XP1000. Is this cloud ibox 2+ safe or should I just get the image in the downloads section?

Cheers, in that case I really should go back to 22 if I want those features?
The image in the downloads section is safe. All cloud ibox 2+s are clones of the maxdigital.
I'm not going to rewrite the TSmedia code every week or so to keep up with all the update to the Apollo system. If you flash with the 22 image you can then update the software from the vix menu without overwriting the changes I made to the streaming code. You can even update TSmedia from 7.6 to 7.7 safely, but that will put a load of Asian and Arabic stuff on the box that we took off. (Won't do any harm, but takes up some of the limited space on these boxes that I prefer to leave free so I can use this space for the extra personalized stuff that most of us add to these boxes). The code changes I made were basically 3 fold:
1) added our own proxies to bypass UK censorship (so banned sites like 1channel, Movie4k, ProjectFreeTV, SolarMovies and a couple of others now work).
2) Altered the Forward buffering algorithm to aid smoother streaming (requires a HDD or USB stick of at least 4gB)
3) Improved the scouring algorithm to find all of the source servers from the indexing site.
