On the remote, press menu/information /about
What does it say at the top?
What version number about halfway down the screen?

Rereading first post even the fta ones,have a look at f connectors and see if any black burn marks suggesting water ingress.Maybe loose cable/lnb and waiting to see what your signal level says.

It's not a motorized dish ? I've been up and checked all connections I think the lnb may be broken the dish is 8year old

Scan for satelite channels manually without using autobouquetmaker and see if they clear

Push in adaptor or clip on adaptor
