Openvpn slowing me right down

I have tried using various routers and never had much success, you are always better off installing onto the device as @mike123 says.

That's probably true but the main reason for doing all this is to run IPTV through my smart TV without any extra hardware, however its not possible to use a vpn on smart tv unless it's an android TV which mine isn't.
 
Just get a 4k firestick in black Friday sales then buy the amazon ethanet adaptor for £13 connect ethanet adaptor to Firestick plug ethanet into adaptor then other end of ethanet in router and have direct speeds from router.
Just install the nord apk onto firestick then turn on as and when needed imo.
Plus would save you on about £80—£90 quid on buying a gaming vpn router
