So, going back to my previous point, was it line providers own undoing by obvious naming the dyns/dns?
no, they had a big clear out off 1000 of accounts and i posted weeks ago on here.

He hasn't been contactable for months (Site down and email addresses don't work), if your sub was still valid it continued to work, and vice versa. Until now of course and obviously this is not his fault
No, no. Using a DNS hosting service allows them to negate this. So whatever they set the domain name as will remain the same, but the IP address from the server can change and will auto update the DNS hosting service.Thanks Clublife. If the domain (name) stays the same, but the ip address (numbers) change, then we are forever going to editing lines?
I would have thought re-booting the box would clear the problem. in effect why can't servers change their ip's and just tell us to re-boot the box?
