Barcelona have made an offer of an initial €80million (£69.3m; $93.2m) plus add-ons for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon.

Talks between the clubs continue, while Bayern Munich also retain interest in the 25-year-old.

Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal with Scotland full-back Andy Robertson following his departure from Liverpool.

The 32-year-old played his final match for Liverpool against Brentford on Sunday, having announced he would leave the club when his contract ends this summer.

Details remain to be finalised on the deal with Spurs but an agreement is in place in principle.

Tottenham, then managed by Thomas Frank, targeted Robertson during the January transfer window.

Manchester United are in advanced talks to make Atalanta's Brazil midfielder Ederson their first summer signing.

Multiple sources have told BBC Sport a deal is close to completion, with an initial fee of £35m, plus £3m in add-ons, likely for the 26-year-old.

Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri has left the Italian club by mutual consent after one year in charge.

Marco Silva is leaving his role as Fulham head coach when his contract expires this summer, the club have announced.

Scotland, Liverpool and Celtic great Sir Kenny Dalglish is undergoing treatment for cancer.

The legendary forward and former manager wanted to keep the news private but confirmed the diagnosis after accidentally sharing the news initially in an "inadvertent social media post".

"I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer," Dalglish, 75, wrote on social media. "Unlike my mobile phone use, the treatment is going well

Manchester United have agreed a £35m (40.5m euros) deal with Italian side Atalanta for Brazil midfielder Ederson.

The 26-year-old will sign a four-year deal at United, with the option to extend it by a further 12 months.

Ederson is still to have a medical, with sources saying the transfer should be completed in early July before United's return to pre-season training begins.

He will become the club's first signing since Michael Carrick was appointed permanent head coach last month

Salford City manager Karl Robinson has been sacked by the League Two club after their play-off final defeat.

The move comes nine days after their 3-0 loss to Notts County at Wembley

Manchester City are contemplating taking legal action over a promise to sign striker Erling Haaland by a candidate in Real Madrid's presidential election.

Enrique Riquelme - a renewable energy magnate who is challenging current president Florentino Perez for the position - unveiled a Real Madrid shirt bearing Haaland's name while on television on Wednesday, saying: "He has a release clause and would like to join Real Madrid."

A swift denial was issued in a joint statement by Haaland's father and agent, before City rubbished the suggestion.
