Record one channel watch another

My supplier has told me that I can record one iptv channel and watch another iptv channel at the same time but whenever I press record the iptv freezes and doesn't record?

If you have gse iptv app for android or iOS, use the sure am codes API section, and enter the server address and port, followed by your user and pass from the my file. When logged in there, it will show you details about your sub, and whether you do actually have 2 connections...

OK, well if you FTP in to your box, and navigate to /etc/enigma2/, then you should see files named something like userbouquet.xtream_uksports.tv. If you edit this in a text editor, you will notice some lines like below:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:80A:63:27:FFFF0000:0:0:0:http%3a//server.address%3aport/live/username/password/80.ts
#DESCRIPTION 428 Premier Sports HD

You can use the username and password from the link above, and then reconsitute the server address and port to the following:

http://server.address:port

He probably wanted to say that you can record the channel you are watching mate , he wouldn't give you a free connection for nothing
To simply test if you have 2 connections just rub 2 devices at same time , if they froze solid then you only have 1 connection
If both of devices worked ok the guy is not allowing you to record

He is adamant that I can record and watch something else at the same time. Could it be a problem with my recording settings or time shift settings?

Disable timeshift and see what happens...

Also, what were the results in the gse app... This will show for sure whether you do have the multi-stream, in which case, yes, it'd be something on your box at fault...

Was told by my supplier to reflash my zgemma with openatv image and that will sort the problem.

Apparently ipab image doesn't allow to record 2 streams at once.

Sorry, but what you need to know is IPTV works off one tuner so
one tuner to watch or record, it's not like having a twin tuner box

Reflashing won't make any difference

I have the notepad file open now. No idea how to port it over.

Would a screenshot of the file help if I sent it to u via PM?

IPTV doesn't have any tuners. It has streams... So, if you want to record, you will need to be on a non-iptv stream if you only have 1 stream. If you have 2 streams, you can either watch the same iptv channel as the iptv channel you're recording, or watch a different iptv channel to the iptv channel you are recording...

OK...

Well, if you want to put it like that, if the supplier gives the user 2 connections to the server, it's like having a twin-tuner box. If the supplier gives 3 connections, it's like having a triple tuner box...

Anyway, it's been distinguished that the OP has only 1 connection to the server, which is why he's unable to record and watch at the same time... Shame on supplier for lying :(

I have been successful in recording a programme thru epg when the box is in standby however on occasions it hasn't work so been hit and miss why this is I don't know
