only on the usb setup lol ,iv had it in a notepad on pc for bloody yonks ,easier then typing same thing over n over when it was actually needed

do I need to back up before doing this? If so how do I do that? Sorry I’m hopeless with this sort of stuff, thanks
if the box is only being used for freesat then you don't need to backup.
If you have iptv or satelite lines then you should back up before flashing online

Just done this so I’ll set something to tape and see what happens, fingers crossed.
You were supposed to be flashing the box, is it still on an ancient image?

Flashed the box and it seems ok, just the recording problem is still there.
Any ideas?
What version of openatv is installed?
Menu information about?
If still using ipab you haven't flashed it

The box needs to be flashed.
Ipab is dead and buried.
Once you have openatv 6.4, then you can follow the above to setup recording devices etc
