After I gave input the code, I press and hold '5' button for few seconds and it then beeps.

I did this on my wife's megane a few months back and it accepted her code when I pressed and held down the '5' key

I INPUT A CODE INTO MY WIFES MEGANE A FEW MONTHS BACK AND IT ACCEPTED HER CODE WHEN I PRESSED AND HELD DOWN THE '5' KEY.

Thanks Joan I'll take that as a compliment...

No honestly though, I've tried those instructions several times.

When I press and hold preset '6' nothing happens.
When I press and hold preset '5' after a few seconds it beeps (and nothing changes - the display keeps flashing with the code I've just input).

is there anything else you can suggest?
