If you reset the gui what does it actually do

its restarts the gui
so graphical user interface

or it just restart the software not the hardware

reset or restart?

'restart gui' just reloads the enigma2 software, good for adding plugins sometimes, changing skins etc. 'Restart' is restarting the box itself
