Ring alarm sytems

Anybody got one of these in use. Are they any good reliable.
Will they work just as a general house alarm without subscription.
Is the hub the equivalent to a bell / siren

Have a look at the rest of the ecosystem too, doorbells, cameras, as they link quite well.

Google used to do a good one, Nest Secure (only in the US though), but they've discontinued that as they bought out ADT and are brining out a new line alarms.
