Run Xbox 360 Games From USB HardDrive With x360key

haven't been keeping up with this one properly, but it certainly looks like a great idea, and future proof too(y)

Hopefully wheelo all going well this will be the way to go, c4e very quiet lately so i suspect some big news (hopefully) from him soon maybe on a similar project plus more news on using jungleflasher with android!
 
It still can't get the key from the drive though so you will still need to buy additional equipment to extract the key?! So if you buy the kit to extract the key then you may as well just flash the drive and save yourself 78 quid.
 
Another update....

We have been very busy bashing out the last bugs, and also made other improvements. We are very proud to announce that the by now somewhat infamous game Call Of Duty: Black Ops runs flawlessly on xK3y!

Finally gone in to production:

[h=3]Its ALIVE![/h] Posted on August 24th 2011 We are very proud to announce that xK3y is now finally in production. The first stock will be shipped to distributors who placed their orders during our pre-order period by the end of August.

As you may have noticed updates on xK3y progress have been scarce lately. Very late in the testing we noticed that a certain Slim model just did not want to be friends with xK3y. This last month we worked around the clock making sure that everything works flawlessly. There is a good thing that has come out of the delay as well. Software 1.00 has a lot more features than we initially planned for launch.

While the hardware team has been busy testing and fixing the last bugs the software team has made astonishing discoveries, and some unique features that will never be possible with any CFW may be possible in the very near future. (We wont elaborate more on WIP for today but expect more soon!)
 
Those pre orders may wait til the next dash update again as I would say the delay,besides the development of it, have been the recent dash updates and ap2.6. Clever move to wait for after the next banwave,if it happens.

I would imagine so as a novice could install the x360 whereas jtag setup is slot more Complex.still there are people out there that wild charge less to setup a jtag for you compared to the price of the x360 key.

September 20th 2011.X360key running Gears of War 3. Gears of War 3 confirmed running on X360key. No AP25 ISO patching needed. YouTube Video coming soon!
 
Some more updates, rumor has it that emulation is now safer than CFW? Who knows who to believe these days, if it is safe or safer than we're sure to have a product from team xecuter!

Seemingly they have a few of these around the world connected to xbox live without any issues so far.
Time will tell though, still have to see what c4eva and Co will come up with

Seems to have gone a bit quiet with this now doesn't it. Think they must be having more problems then they are letting on.
