Hi guys got myself a new USB 3.0 and trying to record raw which is 3 hours long but its still only recording 2 hours, do I need to format to NTFS, because I thought it recorded in 1gb files so it wouldn't matter about the cap?

How did you set up the timer?

If you pressed the record button when the programme started, it will default to 2 hours. You need to press the record button twice to bring up the duration box.

If you set it up in the timer menu, you need to set the duration to 3 hours.

You can see if it is recording in 1GB chunks by looking at the files on your pc/laptop.

i record Raw. Its starts at 01:00. Duration - 03:00hours

I recorded using the new EPG so I just select when raw is on and press ok, it was last night I recorded so it was a repeat, I checked the timer it said 11pm till 2am

Just trying a quick record now for 3 hours just tapped record twice and selected 3 hours see what that does

Yea i recorded last night aswel. The default is 2hours. Press M/P on the remote go to timersettings then change from there

last night raw was 11-1

Well it ended early raw is normally 3 hours, and I checked the timer settings and it said 11-2 but stopped at 1

Did you put down the Duration time not what time it ment to finish.

Repeats are always 2hours long. Live Raw is 3hrs

Right I recorded a random channel manually for 3 hours and it did, so I've set raw to record on Monday night I've checked timer settings and it says 3 hours 30 minutes so this should record hopefully. If not then the new EPG must not be able to do more than two hours.

It was the repeat of live raw which is normally 3 hours, next Mondays must be special with it being 3 hours 30

hi guys,just wondering what size of usb stick or external hard drive to record a 3 hour episode of raw

I have done it before but can't seem to figure it out now
