SoftCams non-existent in Openpli

MifPT

Newbie
Hi,

I'm using an OpenPli image running on the Zgemma box and I cannot see the "SoftCams" in the downloadable new plugins menu.(see photo attached).
Does anyone know how can I get it/ see it?

From a photo on a tutorial (how to install CCCAM plugin) I can see I should have the following:
+Settings --------------> this is missing
+Systemplugins
+drivers
+skins
+picons
+extensions
+security --------------> this is missing
+softcams --------------> this is missing

Any help?
(I'm far from an expert in these things, so, I apologize in advance if this is a basic question)

With openpli 8.6 and 9 the ability to download softcams is built in.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the updates.
I don't know how to determine the OpenPli version....Where can I see that?

I believe it is a "home built" version.

Do you know how to install the openpli from the command prompt? (my idea is to run it using Putty - If possible)

Thank you all, for the contributions,

regards,
MifPt

I wouldn't mind installing OpenATV -I had it on a receiver previously - but I cannot find an option to install it from the OpenPli edition I have (Which I believe is a home-built)

You can flash any image via the remote, press blue button.
Flash online.

Hi Pabloescavan.

Thank you for your help.

When I press the blue button nothing happens - again, I believe, because it is a "home - build" version of the openpli.
Do you know if I would be able to install OpenATV or Openpli using Putty??

I also tried to restart the box using the box power button and continuously press the MENU key on the remote and started normally. ( I read the box would read the USB)
The same happens with the power button and the On/OFF key pressed.

Thanks for the support, although.

It's been asked three times already, what model zgemma is it?

We need to identify the receiver you have to help you better. You are not providing this. Take pictures of your receiver from the front and back, upload those pictures here.

To find out the image details
Menu , Information, About.

Post a picture of that screen.

Folks,

THANK you all for the help.
And for keeping me going and trying until I managed.
This is an amazing community and I hope to come more often to it than before.

I managed to install a proper OPENPli image 9.0 version on my Zgemma H8.2 box.

For those who (like me) did not know how to. This is the way I did and worked:
1. Download the latest image onto a FAT32 USB stick and extract it on the root folder.
2. Shut down the box - using the power button on the back of the unit. - Use the hardware button NOT the power button on the remote.
3. Plug in the 32FAT USB stick with the image in it.
4. Press the MENU key on the remote and keep pressing it all the time.
5. Power the unit back ON again using the same power button on the back of the receiver
6. When you see the first image when powering up. STOP pressing the MENU button (release it).
7. The box will automatically update the image.

These are the steps for the image update.
I wasn't releasing the MENU button, and so, the box wasn't updating... - this was my error.

Thanks again to all,
MifPT
