Starview 6 - 7 firmware guide tutorial.

we are having the same problem with our virgin broardband cuz it doesnt give a code 4 it plus its not allowing us 2 download the new carling 1.04
 
You should be able to download the 1.04 from Techkings not to long after you made your first post.

What if.... Mr Bransons employees have infiltrated all the boards and produced some firmware update that bricks all our boxes? Very paranoid I know but surely possible?

choose reset to factory then install carling firmware then do a scan should sort it
 
not with the servers down, if the box is new wait for the servers to come back up, then download what you need, if they are caput permitely you can send the box back and get a refund.

rpw, you won't see any difference at the moment with the servers down,

The servers are down, so doesn't matter what FW you have on your Starview it won't work
 
carling 1.04

can you please advise if carling 1.04 is the lastest update fot starview 7, i hand 1.03 and box worked perfect until a week ago.

A server is simply a computer thet helps (serves) other computers. In this case the Starview server that sends our Starview box the information to descramble the premium channels is out of action at the moment. No one knows when or if it will be back up and running at present, so all we will be able to view on the Starviews are the free to air channels like BBC1 etc.
 
Any idea if the servers are back up and running yet? Have not been able to view any channels for weeks now!

Any help would highly be appreciated. Thank you
 
still down,or gone for good,just read the posts if and when it comes back anto will have big banner with red lippy for all to seeyeehaa
