Starview 6 - 7 firmware guide tutorial.

The reflash worked a treat, unfortunately i have come home from work tonight to find the channels are scrambled agin.
Does anyone know if the codes have been updated? I am in South Wales Area and can only view the FTA channels.

I just bought a second s7 box,i intalled the carling 1.04,i'm getting all channels but no FTA channels and skysports 1 & 3 and some movie channels as far as i can tell. I removed the new box and put my initial one in and that is doing the same aswell...any ideas guys?thanks
 
Hi Guys the connection from the server is down again. Not sure why. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi I just reported this myself. I believe its your version of carling which now needs to be 1.04up. But I'm struggling to remember where I got it from

Does anyone have carling 1.04up that they could send me a link to, it would be most appreciated?
 
Hi and thank you. Its been a while since I orginally set the system up. I have now updated to carling 1.04up. However whereas before I no longer have the net application menu under network which allows me to select U streamUK. I have a printed version of the orginal install docs i.e. scan press 8989 etc. but no Joy. Any ideas?

starveiw 7 ugrade

ive had the stareveiw 7 for about r months no probles except the occasioal freeze and scramble mes which doesnt last long apart from today its been scramble all day ive got firmware 1.03.0 ive heard theres a newer version 1.04 could some tell me if this is true and if so by downloading this version could it make it go on again if so id appriciate a link for this download im new to this game and would love some help thanks
 
there is new firmware and you'll find it in our download section (Downloads is on tab across the top of page under the Techkings logo)

But also the starview servers are down at the moment so doesn't matter whats on the box won't work till there back :(

down loads check antos post for a direct link just above yours, servers have been down all day,

grrr, have had to register and now gotto wait 20 mins before i can download. is it simple to do guys as the starview 6 box i bought was just plug and play until now.. all the non free view channels had gone when i came back from work today.
 
so you did not research any info before you bought one,servers up and down alot of the times and also helps to read other posts if same problem arises,everybody will be in same situation and nothing you can do,if you have 1.03 on boxes thats ok.
 
had it from a reliable source mate where i had my previous EUROVOX from that had worked for like years. and the starview worked for about 6 months with only 1 or 2 rescans required so as you say, just has server issues really. i hardly watch it to be fair as i work hard and out lots but it's handy for films and sport.. just a shame it sometimes freezes at key points in films and footy. but there's always the pub. missing a second or 2 can be a pain. but no way i'd pay subscription to virgin/sky.. although it's a shame not in HD... and won't be long before people want 3D lol.
