This is a good example of someone doing the right thing 
Using logic to rule out where the real issue is coming from.
I've seen my Android TV box have the odd blip and a reboot seems to sort. I've also had Tivimate go corrupt on me, reinstall fixed this. I feel for providers, as I suspect a lot of users that have issues are quick to blame them, rather than troubleshoot their setup first. You have to expect these bumps in the road every now and again.
