Supplier VOD Vs Plex

So what's the going rate for a decent Plex server. Is it similar to a IPTV sub?

I could not think of needing a movie at 80gb. I've got a near 400mb connection but those file sizes seem huge.

Plex is a no brainer for me without faffing with broken links or poor quality. The layout is superb. The servers I’m on mainly consist of Remux rips so it’s truly the best quality you can get.

IPTV Vod will more than often be encoded to shit and starved of bitrates and low in file size. However, people don’t mind that. Also more beneficial if you don’t have the internet speeds or equipment to stream Remux files Etc. Not only that Vod will often come as part of your IPTV service.

I’ve said it before Remux 4K can run into 80+GB in size. I’ve seen files 100+GB. The quality is superb though. If you have both the equipment and speeds then a solid Plex server is a no brainier.

@bazcfc1 as for the Up In Smoke Tour I cannot believe that hasn’t been remastered. If I had a time machine that be my ultimate tour. I was like 5/6 at the time lol

Plex is the go to hands down for VOD.

Tbf the vod apps you get with premiumize and RD links are pretty good and works fine but tend to find the quality being a bit poorer.

Remix files 1080p or 4k will always be tough to stream if you don't have correct hardware and setup and even fast enough Internet speeds.

I do agree 4k remux is insane quality but so is 1080p really. Downloaded return of the King and was bloody nearly 70gb!!!

You can. You can get IPTV free aswell. Loads of free playlists out there. Never as good as a paid server. Servers cost loads to run properly.

Getting a quality free one is rare imo but if your lucky you could find a quality one.

Reddit does have some but I find that on their the free ones aren't very good or not taking anyone on.
 
The word get lucky. For the sake of£20 a year and requests done normally within 24 hrs I am not going to worry. If I was saving £100 might be different. But horses for courses

Ye if can get a free one which is quality more power to that person.

But main best servers you have to generally pay for.

Yup I have several free ones.

One dedicated to pure horror sitting at 22K films which is really niche. I mean I’d struggle to find that many horror films on Netflix, Prime etc alone! My biggest general server is around that’s 50K+. And one dedicated to Remux quality only which is my to go to server for quality. I’m also on a sports only server. The guy rips MOTD and all kinds of sports highlights/Retro matches which is nice.

There is people out there trying to make a quick buck but the majority of people enjoy the whole Plex experience. Collecting media etc and enjoy sharing their content with like minded people with similar interests.

If you’re going down the buying route If you get an appbox you can share the server yourself with family and friends as the server will be hosted directly onto your Plex giving you free rein to share the server to other peoples accounts….

@maryhill956 just checked I also have a server with the exact number of Movies and Shows. Small world but yes that’s a free server I’ve been part of now for a few years. Nice guy runs it if it is the same person!

Most paid for are pin mate. You can't share them. The good thing is about the free ones seems you can specialise in content you want to receive.

This is where it could be great for people who like Indian and Asian content. As most paid servers concentrate on mainstream stuff

The dedicated free servers are awesome for those that seek exactly what you mentioned. If you have a niche then I guarantee there’s a server out there for it regardless on how obscure it is lol

Bloody heck your hoard plex servers like every thing else dont ya 😆 😆 😆 😆

I think if you have plex pass and server supports concurrent streams and different ips you can share with friends and family that way.

Ye I have checked some free ones out and some have all types of different content and you are right about paid servers focusing more on the popular stuff than obsecure or niche stuff.

Finding an Indian/Pakistani server and one that is updated all the time is very very hard from experience.
