Hello. Can anyone help?

My second box is a Technomate 6909 hd,

Yesterday the front display was saying LNB fault. Is the box dead now. Or does anyone know of a fix,

It displays the message with no cable attached after a few seconds,

Any sign of burning at the f connector to show ingress of water?
Might you have another box or cable to try?

There is no sign of burning and no water ingress. The cable works fine in a different box. And the fault occurs with no cable attached.

Reading elsewhere it can be a cheap faulty capacitor that has failed.
Another place said it has to go back to technomate for repair.Tuner issue
Thinking judging from how old those posts are ,get a newer better box upgrade?
 
Same happened to my 6900 years ago. I think it was a fault with the power supply. I left it with a TV repair guy for a week and paid a few pound for repair. It is still working and, in fact, has outlived its remote!!
 
Passed it on to the brother-in-law so he can watch FTA Italian satellite :smiley:. Some chancer is trying to sell one on ebay for 250 quid with a Diablo cam so I might repossess it from him :LOL::LOL: (and yes I got the gag!!)
