This is doing my head in!!

My HD channels have been glitching badly over the last few weeks, far worse than normal. All SD channels are spot on.

Anyone else?
 
sorry meant to post that in the "how is your a850 running" thread. FTA HD are ok. Done all the usual checks.

I would just like to see if anyone else is having a similar issue

Why does the picture keep freezing on the 780 I've taken off the forward path attenuators x 2..........3db & 6db picture still freezing ..Thanks
 
you dont need attenuators for the 780,start off afresh,reset/rescan from main feed and choose correct provider,no splitters or extensions used,recheck cable lan setup as it may be faulty causing freezing,reboot box and router/modem off for 30 secs at rear then on.

Sorry Healm i could not get back to you in time but my bro cactikid has put you straight..Unless your in here on a regulars like some of us then i would say just try a s/w update once a month..! And if it says "already updated" then you know your good to go...but someone in here will certainly post when one is available... ps This 3rd box has well and truly done my head in and is well and truly "defunct"..thats the polite term..just in case our new mod "wheelo" is on the prowl and looking to issue his first Red card.(no time for yellows and warnings..you knew the rules. see ya..!!) But at least i have a working power supply for my next "not working"..what...you think ted is giving up..no chance..probably done me a world of good as thanks to bees etc i must have been through so many bin files from nov 2011 till present day...And just for confirmation i even put an out of date firmware on "my own" box...checked on sys info..and it was showing nov 2011...(but i knew my mate null/dell was 100%... then put may 2013 bin on it.. and then done online update..and now on aug 2013..) so box main pcb is curtains..all over..ting done..cease to exsist.... well i supposed you cant win them all..but had a bloody good try..pps some fish on fleabay brought a "used" 780 for 209 quid + p&p.... so they were either well and truly stoned or think they have won a 850HD..(780 is 150 brand new...!!)
So if anyone has a non working 780.. i have a power supply ready to bring it to life (but if it counts from P001 upto P200 and loops again...BIN IT...)
Oh and healm..you must have correct net id (from a genuine vermin box)..as that will also make you glitch.... Ted..

Your "net id" is the the number you need so when your at the network id page (during scanning) on the KV box you can find your correct one.....Hook up your genuine vermin box or if you got multi room... using the remote.... Menu..Home..techstuff/diagnostics..and the top line will be net id..5 digit number or possibly 2..if 2 digit stick a couple of 00's infront...And as for eurovox...i still got my Nokia dbox2 (we loved our commando 9,10 and 11.) just in case..!!

Can I alter size of picture with the remote on the 780, tried with tv remote but picture still too big, thanks
 
go into menu alter format to RGB or CVBS and then i think you press the blue button, if its not its one of the other coloured buttons to alter screen sizes to -: full, combined or letter box,after bit of trail and error you should be ok
 
possibly tv setting not set correctly so check there first.what tv are you on and setting 16-9?,letterbox/pillarbox lol,that long ago i cant remember.
 
KV menu -> system settings -> AV output settings -> RGB -> 4.3 -> exit ,press blue button to alter screen size to -: full,comined or letter box

Hi lads just a query if I want to set up another 780 box in the conservatory can I run another null cable using another port from the hub and fit it to the 780, or do I need those plug-in's
 
stop drinking,null modem cable is for flashing the 780 lol,coaxial cable and lan cable/power plugs to hub.
every box needs its own coaxial feed and a lan cable connection.
 
Hi Lads

Just browsing on the site and went to eurovox, I noticed folk are trying to download software for the eurovox max I thought these were kuput, even Ted could not resurrect these boxes, can you confirm they are no good at the moment as I have old euro max
