For all those who just don't know which route to go down on IPTV I've created this video to show you all the main ways. Hope it helps.

Boxes used:

MAG254
SMART IPTV
SMART STB
ENIGMA2 (Edison OS Mini)
ANDROID TV (Nvidia shield but will work on many devices including firestick)
KODI (Nvidia shield but will work on any laptop or android box/firestick)

Please don't request the service provider in an open forum as this isn't allowed!

Well this tells me I should take my Iptv sub off my smart TV and run it through my zgemma 2s then I can record one channel and watch another. So the zgemma 2s will run Iptv better than smart Iptv app?

Works sweet as a nut on a Zgemma, better than some of the more expensive boxes!!

There is digital stb on Android also(free on Amazon app store) which is another mag emulator which works well.

Thanks for that, I'll check it out. It is hard to beat a mag thanks to the catch-up tv service however much I like the look of the enigma2 set up.

I use smart-stb on lg TV but lifetime license was 20 quid. Still cheaper than buying a mag though and having tried a mag 254 and the app there was nothing between them and maybe the app seemed faster.

It's more than £20 now unfortunately but I agree the app does seem faster. Miss having a dedicated remote though

Have you always found smart stb reliable? Opened the app a few times and it says no connection at the top?

Had no problems with it for last 8 weeks. It is on an LG webos tv though so could be different. My sub runs out in 2 days and wont be renewing however as just getting virgin installed quite cheap.

Thanks pal, purchased and all good. Farewell to IPTV for you then lol

also got virgin installed couple weeks ago . but in no rush to get shut of my mag just yet
footie sesn about to start and the iptv services cant be matched for them 3am kick offs :)

Only thing I dont watch is footy lol so wont miss sky sports at all or movies as have plex for that. Only had slycs because it was so cheap lol. And only took full house tv and 200meg as £34 a month is cheaper than what I currently pay for talktalk fibre alone.

Good evening gentleman, I'm totally new to the forum and after some advice, go easy! Great video by the way OP.

I'm contemplating buying a MAG 256 but the ZGEMMA also looks quite tempting after years of having my under crackers pulled down by s*y and virg*n.

Any recommendations on which of the units will perform better and why? I understand they both have different layouts but other than that which of them would be best for performance in terms of quality, speed reliability etc?

More importantly once I've made the decision on the box (with your help all being well) Who offers the best Sub? I've been reading alot but can't seem to find a definitive answer and this seems to be the most important part of the equation, honestly any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

You'd have been better just creating the 1 new thread, which people could post in, rather than posting the same message in 3 different threads from other people...

I know you don't use it anymore but could you please explain how did you configure the smart-stb on your lg TV as I like the look of it and I have an lg tv but not sure if my iptv provider will work on the smart stb app.
