Update on E2iPlayer

I shown you in a previous thread how to unzip the file you needed and to drag it from computer into the box using filezilla, I even sent a picture and you couldn't do that.

Some people just cannot get to grips with enigma 2 boxes.
 
Have tried another suggestion which was remove the plugin and reload it, I now have no iptv at all !
As to not having a box at all why would you think that ? I admit I am not very good at this thing and unless I really have to I leave things alone which is why I don't know what I am doing.
I did explain I cant get things to drag across and didn't know if it was the whole zipped file or just part of it.
I thought no matter what level of ability someone had they could get help .

Did you re boot the box and then go back into extensions and see if the E2 iplayer is there to download.

Everyone gets help, lots of people have been helping for days but you just keep posting the same thing, 'didn't work' 'can't do it' and so on
There's only one thing you need to do, just one.
but it seems you are in such a rush to get it done, youv'e tried it fifty times and not once have you completed it because you are rushing into it.
you already have the ipk on your computer UNZIP IT - don't read any further until you have done this.
open filezilla and put the box ip address in 'host' and root in username and click quickconnect
on the right, scroll down to a folder called tmp
on the left (your computer) drag the UNZIPPED ipk into the tmp folder, you do this by clicking on the ipk file, keep it clicked and move the mouse pointer to tmp folder, then let go, this is why it's called drag and drop.

I'm not going any further until you can confirm you have completed this task

Yes , its not there

Now that I was told not to unzip the file
the rest of the process went ok . But the date is still 2018 Nov.
That's where am going to leave it, Thank you everybody for your help .
The step by step most recent instructions were what I needed and would have prevented sarcasm and tempers being frayed.

no you were told in the first place to unzip the file and send it to TMP folder
now if it is there it needs installing
press menu>setup>software management>ipkg install>choose memory/Tmp clcik ok
clcik ok to install the ipk file you uploaded earlier

How to install ipk

Open a FTP session from your laptop/device to your Enigma2 box

FTP the .ipk to the /tmp folder

Either install it from the box GUI or VIA SSH using one of the below options depending on image used

-OpenATV this will be Press Blue Button -> Plugins -> Choose IPK Installer -> (3) Memory /tmp -> (1) Install Extensions -> select the IPK (OK) and press green


- OpenVix this will be ‘Menu -> Setup -> ViX -> Install local extension


- SSH/Telnet to the box and run opkg install /tmp/enigma2 [TAB – to autocomplete path]
- note if you have openwebif Terminal plugin installed you can use that to run opkg install command also.
Reboot you box to complete installation.

I'm getting confused by these posts.

What is he trying to do? as in this post you pointed him to the e2iplayer folder method, that isn't an IPK http://techkings.org/threads/update-on-e2iplayer.145274/page-14#post-940734

No need to unzip ipk just send to tmp then install as above

- So user can check if his vpn or proxy is working...

Thanks for these updates dsayers and enigma1969. Running the latest version on openatv 6.3 + wooshbuild infinity and they work great. I guess the adult sources are hidden?? How can I unhide them :smiley:
 
I've updated to the latest 2019.03.07.01, for the last 3 updates I have a message saying "IFD protocol source" coming up . It's on the you tube service , I have the E2 iPlayer deps plugin , any advice on a fix ? Cheers !
