if it has no WPS you should just be able to log into the extender from your PC and input the password details that way

i got an ipk off someone but when trying to install off usb it says Done installed upgraded or removed 0 packages with 1 errors, how can i fix that?

Could I use an old router as an extender? Say an old sly hub?
i use an old router in my garage which from memory had to be set up as a slave although i had to run a long ethernet cable from main router as wifi between them is weak but maybe worth seeing if your old router can be set in slave mode....

No worries I've got an order for a new fibre service so only a week to wait and I'll be fully up and running
