Install a fresh OpenATV 6.1 image from their site ATV 6.1
Once all loaded

1. Install ABM 2.9 thru the plugin feeds.

2. Install CAMS feed, IPK from here

3. Reboot

4. Go back into plugin feeds and install softcam Mgcamd 1.38.

5. Reboot

6. Set your tuner back up for your netid and your ABM settings. Scan channels

7. Enter your line into /usr/keys/newcamd.list

8. If you need a working mg.cfg file, get it here. Put it into /usr/keys folder.

9. Press blue>softcam>softcam panel and start the cam

10. Setup your audio settings in menu>setup>audio>auto language settings.

Still no clue, I am used to VIX from scratch but not used to the menus and set up with ATV

So how do I get the APK file on the box ? USB stick ?

Then where in the menu to load it ?

You could use a usb if you please, put it on root.

1. Press blue
2. Plugins
3. IPK Installer
4. Select drive
5. Install extensions
6. Select IPK
7. Green to install

Or just do it like on any image. Load IPK onto /tmp
Load up Putty ssh session. opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

Menus took a bit of getting used to but got there in the end.

I was on ipab too. I actually learned loads of stuff. I switched to atv. Did my own thing. Even got my own splash screen. It's even better than it was before. Big respect to the guys here who teach us this stuff!
 
Sweet! thats wot its all about.

No disrespect to the build builders but it makes things far to lazy. Learning how an image works is much more self satisfying and when things need fixed you can then understand what people are talking about rather than sticking a drive in and flash, Anyone can do that. Even my 11 yr old son :)

Hi have flashed openatv 6.1 which has abm 2.9. And still no sound on C4 hd, sly news HD, Sly sports Mix HD and couple of more HD channels. Anything am doing wrong

Did you turn ac3 on in audio settings?

On C4 press yellow to see what stream is playing.
