hi dan, im thinking of buying a kryptview when my starview expires, not going to pay the subs/ seems unlealable to me. do you think kryp will go the same way tho?. i also hear that they are bringing out a HD box/ any ideal when.. or would you go down the sat way/ havnt got a dish tho... many thxs.:)

Currently i'm already on the sat route. :) I used to have the Eurovox Max Blue when Nagra 2 was alive and kicking, but now have a Dreambox.

As for KV going down the subs route, it doesn't seem like as though at the moment that they are going to charge subs, but I cant say anything that will asure you that this may not happen. Anything unexpected can happen in a matter of hours/days/weeks/months nothing can be really confirmed. Its just a gamble that you will have to take and hopefully it does pay off. :)

I would personally go down the sat route, atleast with a "private supplier" you are more than likely to get your full years worth as the Kryptview is tied down to one server but any of the sat boxes can have their ccam details changed to a server of your liking. So sat side gets a thumbs up from me. Then again for those who haven't got access too sat, then the Kryptview will be the far more reliable receiver than the Starview.
