Watches

If the rear of the watch has fitting issues.. hit it once severely.

Here is another watch I acquired as a gift. I don't know if it's worth anything. Got it as a gift for selling machines.

Watches are about enjoyment price is irrelevant, keeping good time is a bonus..

I always tell people buy a Casio as great value and quartz keeps great time.

Want an automatic? buy a Seiko / Orient again great value.

Want a bit of bling, buy a Swiss Made Watch. As for brand well depends on how much bling for your money you want :)

Oh not going to sell it but ive never really worn it it sits in a draw in the kitchen. Here is my new Samsung galaxy 4g watch with retro face. But then it also plays games.

I was in two-ways thinking another Tag Heuer but their Pepsi GMT is four times the price than this GMT-OCEAN 1 BLUE RED.2 from Steinhart. Sure Tag is better brand but is it really four times the spec than the below Steinhart.
  • Swiss Made
  • Automatic ETA 2893-2/SW330 Movement
  • 21 Jewels
  • Second stop

The snob in me says the Tag but my Heart says the Steinhart.

Tag movement is Calibre 7 which is the same ETA 2893-2.

Both Sapphire Crystal and both with Cyclops

This is mine - Service was £497 - sent off to Omega, New Crown and Helium Valve along with a few replaced bits / cogs etc that come back in a clear bag and a break down / description of work carried out.
Was without it for a month and felt lost without it!Seamaster Planet Ocean.JPG1.Illuminous Digits.JPG

Maybe you guys can help me out, Its my sons 21st Birthday soon and I wanted to get him a watch but I have no idea
What would be a good buy?
He does have a little watch collection going off, but I want something that will last and he can keep forever
I have about a £1.000 budget
Any ideas?

That's my bull head after its 1st service..2015 it requires a little TLC before selling it on..

New or 2nd hand, dont be put off by 2nd hand, watch collectors are renound for looking after their time pieces unless you fall off your bike,

Would like new but I understand with my budget I may not get something that is built to last
So maybe it would be worth looking at 2nd hand ones. I really dont know
Is this for an investment or everyday wear?
I guess for an investment, he does have watches for every day use, nothing that really costs a lot or anything
