My 10 year old panasonic viera tx has decided it doesn't want to work no more. No power light on, doing nothing.
What is a decent tv to replace this with. Around 55inch. £500-800 range.

Sony or LG I'd recommend. I'm not a fan of Samsung TVs and Panosonic TV's are overpriced nowadays.

Might sound obvious,
But if there's not even a power light, have you checked the fuse,?
Checked fuse and socket all ok. Going to check pcb when i get home from work. Turned off at switch last night like ive always done and nothing this morning.

If you are going to check the pcb, check the internal fuse, check if any of the electrolytic capacitors on the psu are bulging, you may find a capacitor kit to replace all the caps on the psu, caps going on Tv's is quite common.

I did a google on " panasonic viera tx wont switch on" and got loads of hits. Any good repair shop might do a test. Could be a lot cheaper than £500-800!!
