Hi All wondering has anyone encountered this before as I am stumped what the problem is. I have a zgemma h7s been fairly solid but as mentioned in previous post tend to reflash every 16 months due to what look like software issues. Have 2 problems at present. Firstly the provider uses XE plugin and since monday getting a "file download error" on bouquet imports and eventually all his stuff disappears. my brother developed the same problem last week on a Vu Solo box. I think it may be cause by not maintaining latest XE plugin version.

Anyway it wont update on the machine just causes a gui reboot. so i decided to flash given my network issue i had seen.

I flashed firstly to 6.7.20 there today and once up did the willobuild command, all good box booted up and got to restore from backup and restore plugins. clicked yes and it took a while but came back it could not connect to plugins due to network connection and asked to reboot. I was left with a half install but noticed my network issue was still there.

efffectively when i reboot now the network link does not show as up on the device. i have to restart the network adapter and onscreen the link light appears green., this was the same when running the 6.6.3 image I had before flashing. I changed network cable and port in the router and no difference but network works after network restart. I can access the provider stuff and download new images but when i select download plugins it tells me I am not connected to the internet?

Started about 3 weeks ago, have rebooted the router and box many times since but no change. strange part is its boots fine which I recall willo mentioning before it needs internet to do that but adapter seems to die when up and needs restart but as mentioned even that has problems with plugins access.

any ideas of diagnosis would be good. I seen in earlier comments testing opkg update to see results and it looks fine but cant connect from plugins menu, download plugins still tells me no internet.

Have flashed a backup image i took when the problem started so at least up and running but will lost provider bouquets in a day or 2 again as I can seem to update the XE plugin.

just a quick update the "file download error" was on provider side so thankfully that is sorted but the network card and plugins access still a problem if anyone can suggest a way to diagnose it, reviewed the logs on the box but not showing anything specific compared to a good log in april when all was working fine.
 
I got the VU+ Uno se over the weekend had the LNB swapped over and everything is working well with Willobuild 6.7 with freesat i need to tweak afew settings to get it just how i want it but i'm slowly learning how the box and willo work

I've added my iptv info via xstremity but that only gives me films series no live tv options appear how do i add the live tv ? i have read previous posts and i think i use xstreamity for VOD then another one for Live IPTV channels is that correct ?
 
Xsteamity should have the Live TV option.

I don't get that i click xstreamity and

i get these options

playlists
add playlist
main settings

i click on playlists and i get my playlist that i've added

playlist menu

Vod
Tv Series
Playlist settings

all these options work i can watch content

i assume i've not clicked an option to get Live tv ?

in playlist settings you need to enable live tv.

yes thats the settings i have i've even switched that setting off then back on again and saved

i wonder if i need to reboot the GUI its recording something so can't at the moment but will do once its done

If that doesn't solve it i'll add IPTV live via BMX as willo mentioned
 
Rebooting didn't work

BMX also just shows VOD Series exactly the same as xstreamity

Is there a guide to setting up iptv on willo with either BMX pr Xstreamity ?

As its reading the url i gave it i assume its working and something i'm not doing is the problem its something obvious i'm overlooking hmmmm
 
Use BMX but with these plugins they keep changing and you should check you have latest version, then you read the screens, all the instructions are on there. I use BMX but not for live. my version is 1.60.20250807.


look at pics gives you the idea, ie you decide what you want to happen.

It was the IPTVEditor all along lol

for some reason using those links only gave me VOD and series

when i put the original server username and password into BMX they appeared so all good now

thanks guys for all the comments and advice its appreciated
 
Still playing around/tweaking the VU+ UNO SE with Willo

I've noticed on photo 4 on the first page and others through out the thread have a full screen EPG page but i don't seem to be able to get that

is there a setting to get the full page epg ?
 
Vu+ are strange animals. The epg button brings up the single epg as default.

MENU > SETUP > USER INTERFACE > BUTTON SETUP

Press EPG/GUIDE button

Expand EPG section

Select Show Grid EPG

Green to save then exit.

Do you actually know if you have live from your provider or just vod and series.

even if off subject Honestly I don't think Iptveditor problem I have used that for years , and still do , like @Willo3092 I just use BMX for live and xstreamity mostly for vod and series but I also with some providers I have live for example some sports events paperview that I do not need on my bouquets via BMX.

I would suggest check what you have enabled in iptveditor I work from main playlists for different provider but I have myself and wife setup as customers and select what categories to suit i.e. live movies or series for say xstreamity and just another with just live for bmx. seperate iptveditor logins.

The changing settings worked thanks

i now can see the full page EPG

hmm i think something happend while i was recording iptv earlier as now i can't get any picture from iptv it works on another box so its not the iptv service i've also noticed the box is hanging alot when before it was smooth i think i may have to reflash it

freesat is perfect live tv changing channels etc

update went to bed just after sending that message the VU box was still not showing iptv was gonna flash it when i got up

Decided to network into the VU box from my apple tv using the vu plus app it worked including iptv which was suprising now the vu box is working not sure what the problem was and the box is alot quicker this morning.

I'll have another play around with it once i get home.

Trouble is back lol

does anyone use a vu+ uno se to record iptv i have the hdd setup already to record on fresat these work well never have a problem

When i attempt to record an iptv channel it tells me its recording and three different files are created in the same location as my freesat recordings which is in media/hdd/movie but nothing can be played and the size of the recording is blank
