Windows 10: Critical process died - blue screen of death

I have a toshiba laptop
But it’s now displaying the blue screen of death - critical stop error

I have tried to use safe mode but it keeps coming back to this error

It doesn’t perform a system restore either - can’t find anything on the c drive
The command prompt is point to the X drive

Seems like it’s always going back to the critical error - is there anyway around this please

You could perhaps run windows over the top again without doing a fresh install and it should fix any errors in your system .

Sounds like the hard drive has failed if the command prompt doesn't default to C:
Can you change to the C drive by typing C: and pressing enter?

Google Hiren's Boot CD and create a bootable usb drive with Rufus.
The will boot to a mini version of windows and you will be able to see if the system drive still exists.

Thanks for the reply
When l typed in C: at the command prompt - this doesn’t exist
Seems like the system drive doesn’t exist anymore

I checked the log file and it says bootres.dll corrupt
