ive read it a few times and just done picons and failed as they only appear on main epg and not above info bars?, if i was sure i woulnd lose timers and auto timers etc i would just do a re flash
 
Hi I have problem with flash I have followed your clear instructions to the letter MMmmm hopefully, but I can't get to the bbc1 screen I only get the open atv 5.1 sorry in advance I'm not too IT clever

I have replied to your PM but it seems like it has not flashed as there is no OpenATV 5.1 screen in this build. Make sure you have copied the zgemma folder to your usb stick, plugged it in and switched on the box. The image will autoflash.

I haven't installed whooshes build, so I don't know what he has as default. But to get picons above the infobar, you have to have it set in the extras.xml. Read my first post of my skin thread at the top of the 2s section.

And as for the annoying sound narration, these are my settings and I never have it.

Menu > setup > Audio > auto language selection

Audio language selection 1,2,3,4 None
Prefer AC3 track. Yes
Prefer AC3+ track. No
Prefer audio track. Yes
Sub lang sel 1,2,3,4 None
Allow sub land to equal audi lang. yes
allow sub for hearing impaired. no
prefer sub for hearing impaired. no
prefer graphical dvb sub. no
prefer subs stored by service. yes
epg lang 1,2. none
 
Thanks for your response, I cleared the usb and my laptop of the previous download it was the v2, I've tried again and it still won't flash,
the usb is flashing to the box by the way it's light is flashing but no joy, it is formatted to fat 32, when I switch box back on it does not say flash but it says boot, then the box goes to channel 99. Then the time spears on the box, my tv screen says open atv 5.1 as it did before ,don't know if box is the problem it's only 3 days old and was bought from Zgemma direct,

Whats the name of the folder that is on the root of your USB stick? And what's the name of the folder that's inside that folder?
 
Try the front usb, there does not appear to be any logic to it!
When the box displays usb push the power button on the front, it should then change to flash
 
Would i use the same method to flash h2s with openvix?

also I saw you have to create swap file thing in the guides...I don't remember doing that with my lx2.
 
Arghhhh........just about ready to launch this box out of the window. The openbox v5 works fine, tried and tried to set this up and all i can get is free to air....keep getting errors when uploading the N line. I have a working N line on the openbox, but cannot find anywhere to tell me to insert as N, C or CWS and in what file ccam.cfg ccamd.list or newcamd.list. All i know its supposed to be a newcamd protocol but the i'm being told to use ccam.

i'm using the simple ftp plugin, can someone tell me how to switch from local tab(left side) to remote tab (right hand side) ?
I have configured everything right and i am conected to remote (seedbox) but don't seem to be able to select dir or files.

Your screenshot is a bit too small for me to read the text. The only time I had trouble putting the line on the box was because my laptop wasn't finding the box correctly (although the errors didn't really point to that). I unplugged the box and replugged it and restarted my laptop, then it worked fine. Not saying that will fix yours but worth a try if you haven't already.
 
Sorry Orpheus.......bloody hate windows 10. Got as far as this now...... it's loading up to the box, but still only free to air channels. it has to be something stupid i'm doing or not doing as the case may be. In the softcam manager it's coming up with this and then dropping out and coming back again....weird. screen-dump.jpg

You have it on Sky 1 HD, you cannot gt HD channels which are not free to air though sky anymore. It looks like you have changed to HD somewhere in AutoBouquets E2 (28.2) as when a scan is complete you will have 1,2,3 and 4 in HD, 5 and Sky 1 not HD. If channel 10 is Sky 1, change to that channel instead of HD.

The instructions tell you exactly where to put your line information and in what file. Step 6 I think without going and looking.

If you only received your line details in an email, this bit tells you which file to open and paste your line details into:

If the details you were sent look something like:

N: speed5411.server.org 18000 username pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
or
C: speed5411.server.org 18000 username pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

You need to open the CCcam.cfg file, paste your details in and then save the file


If the details you were sent look something ilke:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = quickness.server.net 56845 username pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

You need to open the newcamd.list file, paste your details in and save the file.

I don't understand why you are using anything other than the supplied Line Transfer batch file which came with the image download.

I'm just after the tabs control in the ftp prog in the plugins.
My line is in and good, i can connect and see my files (in the seedbox)
using the ftp on the h2s, so user/pass is all good,
i can highlight the files/dir on local (left half) but don't know how to
select/hightlight files/Dir on remote (right hand side/tab.

Short answer is I have no idea, sorry

Long: I see, you have installed an FTP Client onto your box and can see your local files but you cannot move to what you have connected to?

Your best best is to create a new thread asking your questions in there, you will get a better response from people who are able to help, this thread is really for the WooshBuild v2 image and associated questions / problems.
 
sorry wooshman i thought your build has the ftp plugin, i must have installed it
at some point and forgot.
as i said, i can see all my Dir on remote (my seedbox)
i know it works and can send new files into h2s hdd.
i'm just stuck as i can't find right key on remote to work
the tabs (as in local left... remote right.
i just can't find the info i need,
woooshman if you know anyone who might know, please just drop me a msg

Evening, Quality stuff wooshman, all working apart from one thing.....!

I cannot no matter how long I wait get the picons to work, any ideas???

I would say start the picon instructions again, but before you do that:

1. Green Button (plugins) -> Red Button (remove) -> Picons
2. Now remove each and every set of picons you see in that list.
3. Now open your usb device via FTP, via the network or by using dreamExplorer (installed via plugins) and delete the entire folder called picon. This will remove any stray picon sets you may have.

Now try the process again.

Let us know how you get on.
