I keep referring back but just can't see what I'm doing wrong? Sorry for being so thick. I had a skybox f3 before this and it was so easy to get up and running compared to this

On cam 1 if you press right does it change from cccam 2.3 to mgcamd 1.38?

yes but even using that nothing happens. In the folder "put your line here" do I put my N: line In CCcam or mg_cfg?

You said you have a n line so you need to save that file in the folder "enter your line details" and overwrite the existing file. Then run the bat file and it should send your line over to your box. Then go back into that menu you showed and select mgcamd 1.38 and select "restart"
Step 6 of this guide covers this, read it again
 
Techno, I have just tested and a C or N in cccam.cfg works fine using cccam 2.3. I tested out of concern for my destructions being wrong. I do however believe you can use mg_cfg too.
UODATE: I just tried N: in my newlistd.list file and mc_cfg 1.38r1 would not work.

Your line starts with N: so you can edit the cccam.cfg file and paste your line details in there. Then run the line transfer file. (you may have already done this)
Now go to your softcam panel like your image shows, check that CCcam 2.3.0 is selected.

Now press Red button and then the green button.

If that doesn't work PM me please.

Oh, and you are not being thick.

Apologies - I thought my n line was put in the newcamd.list

No, try it mate just so we know if it is something that depends on the line servers or if N lines only work with cccam.cfg as I really don't know. Lines are not my area. I only know what works for me and my line from CWS to N:

If we hear cheering do we know it worked for him??
 
I've done it.....thank you all so much for your help. I ended up downloading the folder with the line installer again and deleting the old one and it worked

Hi Wooshman I don't have newcams list in my Put Your Line On Box... What I have is exactly this...
CCcam.cfg
cccamd.list
line_installer
mg_cfg
priority.list
replace.list
is it one of the above that I delete?
obviously I have not put my newcams list on it yet

That looks fine to me NicNic. Now put your newcamd.list file in that folder (the one you were sent via email) and run the line_installer file.

Providing you don't see any errors in the black window, then go on to the softpanel instructions below:

3a. Select Channel Sky1 via your EPG and go full screen - Your screen will be blank


3b. Press the Menu button -> Info Panel -> SoftcamPanel




You will arrive at a screen with "Select Cam 1" Highlighted.
Press the left arrow button to change "Select Cam 1" to read mgcamd_1.38r1


Press the Red Button, pause, then press Green button - You may get a Info Message appear on the screen for 5 seconds.
(If the black mini TV screen does not start to show Sky 1


You should now be able to watch Sky channels.

Hello, first of all thanks for all the effort you have put into this for all us newbies, I was wondering, can I follow these steps and then connect the box to a satellite, I will be doing this at home but it is for my parents house who have sly I have a vermin.

You can miss out the step which changes your region and scans channels and you can miss out the step which brings in the EPG, I think steps 3 and 4 from the top of my head. You will need to do these when you get to your parents house.

The rest can be done at your place I think, but it may fry your brain as you will have no TV channels at all and will just see the WooshBuild logo.
