Managed to get everything installed and nline working no problem but can't get recording or timeshift to work properly. Have followed several guides and always get no partition found or disk almost full errors. Using seagate 1tb drive and getting same error with 8gb usb flash drives. Any suggestions? Cheers in advance for help!!
 
Did you set the 1Tb drive when setting up your system, initialising it and converting to ext3? You can just plug it in afterwards as you will have problems setting it up.

You need to reflash with the wooshbuild.
Take the drive out the you flash with and replace with drive you wish to use.
Then mount it by pressing blue button.
Select that drive, you will see what to look for on the screen.
Once you have drive set up, go through the download and flash online procedure .
It's in the instructions at the beginning of this thread bud for more precise instructions

I am losing the will to live with people not reading instructions. They are there for a reason, they are there to be followed. If I spent any more time on perfecting them it would be quicker going around the country installing the build for people.

Step 1, 2 and 3 I think there are more instructions too.... yes there are, I wrote those just to get everything up and running properly.

If you cant follow the instructions in the first post the first time you flash WooshBuild, please don't ask questions in here when things don't work.

Follow the instructions first time around and I will be happy to thelp
 
I'm fully appreciative of all the time and effort gone in with the build and realise my error having re read the instructions but as a newbie it can be quite daunting at first didnt mean to offend anyone ;) keep up the good work!!

It was a general rant highlandsat and not directed at you directly. When you see 2000 posts where 80% are from people not reading instructions or reading previous posts in the thread it sometimes makes me wonder why I both to do instructions or answer questions.

I understand that new box users want it all up and running as quickly as possible but skip a step and there are problems ahead. You could blame me for not putting a big notice saying to read it first, read it again and then do it. But I would probably get the arse and go on a rant again :-)
 
Really nice work and easy to flash with detailed instructions, The only thing the PORTAL button on remote not working so cant watch recorded stuff...

Thanks again any advice or plugin i can use to get it workinglol

Boooooom! Used a SanDisk force 16Gb usb 2.0 in the rear USB port, and away it went. Everything else went smooth also.

Don't worry, on the H2S there is a lovely shiny standby/power button on the front of the box (like the 2S but silver) I never noticed it for about 2 months

You are not alone.
 
Probably something I'm doing wrong but, I have recently 're-flashed' my box and everything seems OK except for the line? it says it has loaded it but I can't access and channels (i.e. Sky 1) I've checked as per the post from kiddac (mgcamds rather than cccams ) but it still won't work. Any suggestions?
 
could i ask if this issue would be the reason, i woke up to the box locked up in boot mode, so ive done a fresh install as nothing else would work im not getting any error logs or issues so far but..the time shift was running and filling up my usb stick at a really fast rate "15gig kingston" after 5 minutes it was at about 300mb i dont record tv or anything like that so ive turned off the timeshift by dissabling the option that says set to 2mins or might have been 2seconds to start. via ftp i just checked and no data is being saved. i just wanted to know if the box locked up as a result of the timeshift filling up my 8gig kingston that i had in at the time?
