IPTV and 5.1 audio?

Fairly new to IPTV.

When using an IPTV service can you get AC3/5.1 audio? Noticed currently with my first couple of test providers only getting stereo sound though my amp.

I don't think it is possible,unless anyone else can comment.

Hi,
iptv is aac for streams , vod transcodes using ac3 so the only source that is ac3 is 4k , everything else is aac.
