No mate (got firesticks in the rooms with iptv, this is just for tv in the living room). The thing is its been working fine up until yesterday (because the loss of channels) I was changing the build as a fix and as soon as the grogbuild installed its been like this. Had the box for about 4 years and never had any issues with it.

was thinking usb port not working but would not happen on both of them what if a linux distro was installed in windows could you try from there.

What I mean is make up a live linux bootable usb and boot that up on pc then try initialising one of your usb thumb drives

I'm sure you're doing your best to help mate but that is double dutch to me.

Cheers to everyone for their help with this but I'm packing it in. Can't be arsed with it anymore, I'm getting nowhere with it and it's just fecking annoying me. Appreciate all the responses, really do. Cheers.

unplug the usb stick and then plug it back in again (without powering off) to see if it mounts

Then try the above again

Aye mate the sticks format fine. I've used the same stick previously to flash the box with open atv. Just the zgemma folder, not the zip folder. Even tried the no force to force as well.

Appreciate it Grog but can't be breaking those lock down rules, don't think fixing zgemmas is classed as key work. I ordered a couple of smaller brand name USBs from amazon. Just in case it's somehow the sticks I have. All 3 are the same SanDisk cruzer blade 16gb and used them before with no problems but worth a shot anyway, even if it's just a case of ruling that out as the problem. Think with amazon deliveries though might be the end of the week before they're here.
