Horse Racing

Ladbrokes & Coral have introduced affordability checks despite the regulator saying be some time before they have considered the 13,000 response.
Can kiss goodbye to betting online for plenty of people if you basically spends a penny over £100 a month you will have to pass over all your tax details your mortgage bank details etc even if you place a £10 a bet and win £101 and lose that £101 you will have to prove you can afford to gamble more.

Heard plenty of people losing account recently one even when they only bet £10 a week so (£40 a month) and they have plenty of income but still wasn’t enough to satisfy the bookies.

All for checks to help people but these bookies making them up as they go along and want every documents about you is wrong.
The bookies hate paying out anything to anyone. I know people who have had a winning wager and then been told to take their business elsewhere.
The bookies want punters to bet on things that you have very limited chances of winning however I know of someone who won a massive sum on virtual horses and another who scooped a massive lucky 15 and a final one who won six figures on a numbers game. The bookies were absolutely gutted as those payouts wiped out the years profits big time.
It's laughable when the news repoprt that on grand national day the bookies have lost a load because a fancied horse has won.
That's just 1 of 365 days in the year, they don't tell you about the other 300+ days when they win consistently. It's all about greed.

Of course they hate paying out on big wins as they say dents their profit but they say this all the time and am sure they will start to stop 4 folds 5 folds etc on Harry Skelton as they do this all the time when someone has a treble etc every day or so.

Some of the odds nowadays from bookies are awful they do that to stop you betting on them.

I was reading a thing about bookies am pretty sure it was Australia they don’t shut down your betting bookie accounts etc so the bookies over here can easily do this but choose not to.
They can’t offer you all these sign up offers but then shut you down within a week it’s their way or no way and it’s stink and with this £100 check coming in things are and will get worst.

Don’t need to back them just stats hope they help. (y)

I'm not a stat guy for horse betting but it is quite eerie how horses who have won the same race a year ago go on to win it again.
I'm more into horses winning at the same time of year as done previously and at the same rating or even lower.
I will never touch favourites as they run for the bookies. The bet the bookies fear is the single bet on single selection only and also they do not like you doing each way doubles on horses that are fancied. By that I mean the horses where there is or has been money for them on Betfair but you can still get the same price or a tad better at the bookies.
Try a few £10 win doubles on these sort and see how quickly the bookie says take your business elsewhere.
Always use reaces where the favourite is odds on then the 2nd and 3rd favourites will be decent each way prices and if the odds on shot wins as you would expect there are still 2 places to fill.
So an 8 runner races offering 3 places where the fav is odds on is the race to play in, but sssshhhhhh keep it to yourself.

Never ever been told to take my business elsewhere by any bookmaker and I have been doing bets for over 40 years, and I have won big on plenty of occasions, in fact I got a good bet up on last nights football, 3 bets done £20, and 2x £10 stakes, I got 2 of the bets up, winnings were in my account in minutes of the full time whistle, just as they were with other bets that have won for me, I have online accounts with three bookmakers, have had for well over ten years and never had a problem with any of them. Roxboro road just got me a nice treble up there a few mins ago , had it along with copper coin and stormy flight, £330 back, only had the one bet today.

I never had any accounts closed got a good few accounts with different bookies but these rules coming in are getting tougher and bookies don’t need to do it but they are just getting on with it and hearing a lot of people losing them who win big or don’t win much so doesn’t seem to matter how your doing they are starting to crack down on accounts will start asking for documents and your personal life etc soon with these new rules.
Good to see you get a nice little win their.

Yeah happened a lot before COVID but since racing came back not as much but this will be due to racing plans were all over the place but now the flat etc start now and jumps the fixture list will start to back to normal.
Yeah always look out for horses dropping mark or win at certain time of year I can see this quickly if horse won at anytime what their mark is what track if you need to know when horses won race say last year.
Always watch out for a trainer who targets a race they might not have the winner from year before.
Don’t like to bet favs hard to help if you bet one and gets hammered though nothing can be done about that.
Bookies will always watch your account and especially when you do win big they will check to see if any pattern to see if your betting for someone or their more than one doing that bet near the same time etc.

I am in a punters club, 25 members, only been in it 7 years and during that time plenty have came and gone, plenty of heavy hitters past and present, business owners, etc, none of them have ever been barred from any bookmakers or race courses in that time, only bad thing ever to happen was at Down Royal a few years back, one of our members tried to have a 2 grand bet on a 4/1 horse in the last race, bookie would only take £800 bet, so he had to spread his bet around with a few other bookies, but the bookie did say if it had have been a race earlier in the card, then he wouldnt have had a problem. The horse ended up dead heating with the odds on fav in the race, but he still got 3 grand profit, but he still complained about it , on the way home on our bus and in the club, but he still did buy an extra round, oh and I meant to mention the guy is my brother in law, heh, heh.

Good to see still all have accounts.
Yeah heard plenty bookies tell you to spread the bets so you get them on they usually will take a bet you ask if you do get to them earlier.
At the moment with these rules this might change if they speak to say one of them 25 then they say their in a group they will want to know them will ask them for personal details in their life your tax returns where you got the money from can you afford that etc.
Heard plenty say felt like they committed a crime with all the information they wanted and if they didn’t they would close their account even if they did prove all the details they still ended up closing the account.
Personally what you do with your cash is up to you it’s a free world (well suppose to be)

Always look out for those horses who been well backed race before and finished out the back and then gets little support next race and wins which Bridey’s Lettuce has just done today.
Was well beaten last time when well backed and then not much support today and goes and wins.

The stable probably managed to get a few shrewd bets on under the radar, trying to keep the horse at a decent price.
Yeah that’s what they do cause the horse was 66s last run went into 12s I think then drifted out to 16s finished 7th and then goes wins at 10s today always keep an eye on horse getting well backed usually means their planning to strike in some race soon.

If anyone has a bet in the last few at Chelmsford better off finding horses who lead or who sit just behind the leader they seem to be struggling to come from behind in the kick back.

Market Movers tomorrow so far.

Seems like plenty of money about quite a good few horses seeing support.

Chelmsford.

3.00 Disarming 10s into 4s.

3.35 Intrepidly 7s into 10/3.

5.07 Rwanda Mist 12s into 11/2.

6.10 Sir Rodneyredblood 10s into 9/2.

Newcastle.

1.40 Cashew 7/2 into 2/1.

2.15 Gobi Sunset 14s into 4s.

5.00 State Of Play 7/2 into 6/5.

I agree with lots of what yo guys say. I know of a "face" who puts bets on for "people in the know" as a living and makes a good salary.
He will move all around the UK to get his bets on staying overnight in Premier Lodge or Travel Inn tells me its no big deal.
However when I last saw hi he had made a boo boo. He put a wager on which was a winner but the payout was over £1,000 as soon as it won the head office rang the shop and asked them who had placed the bet on the winner. He was paid out and only offered SP on future bets no taking prices for him.
Another chap I know of goes around Betfred shops and just bets on Fred's pushes and make a packet, each bet £100 and if allowed £200. Again he moves from shop to shop and gets others in the shop to put £50 bets on for him and buys them a good drink when he collects.
All the on-line bookies have detailed records of every punters bets and any who continue to win have there account closed as it is bad business.
Obviously there will be the one off time when a lucky 15 or lucky 31 goes in and generates a big payout but in cases of massive wins the bookie then uses that as free publicity like the guy and his ante post accumulator at cheltenham. He cashed out and yes as you know the odds on favourite fell lol the inly faller in the race, totally bent.

You did well there then at Wetherby only 1 favourite won out of 7 races and at Uttoxeter only 1 favourite won out of 8 races. So in 15 races only 2 favourites won showing that odds mean nithing at all to the horses chance of winning.

Plenty of trainers and people who are in the trainers yard will get someone else to bet for them especially when they put big bet on been happening for years.

Really don’t see betting on Favs know plenty of people online like to but your not going to get much profit backing them all if two or so lose at short price your chasing that money back and that’s not what you do in betting.
I prefer to look for value bigger prices if possible if you get one or two big price winners you know you will more or less make profit for that day.
