I didn't mean Covid is bs "the whole thing". I mean making a massive deal about hospitals being overrun when they aren't and the narrative the media are pushing by constantly peddling false news in an attempt to scare everyone to the point it's creating so much division between the unvactinated/vaccinated. It's them and us and it's all their fault etc. That's what I call coercion.
As for control.
Threatening to lockdown the country whilst hospital beds are taken by 5% of Covid patients whilst Africa (where Omicron originated) is seeing very few deaths and a declining transmission rate of late. See the yellow banner and look back at how deaths follow transmission in the graph. Now look at the gap between the two now after vaccines and variant mutations. These stats in a place where it originated doesn't warrant the panic they're creating.
Also this constant talk of vaccine passports to get into venues when it makes hardly any difference to stop the spread as trialled in many other countries.
for e.g Wales has had passports to get into venues since early September...
What is a Covid pass and how do I get one? - BBC News
Wales is now closing nightclubs on the 27th of December. They'll be likely more closures of pubs cinemas going forward.
All these places required a passport to get in and yet he's closing them 2 months on so that worked well 🤦.
I personally recon Omicron will turn out to be far weaker and result in fewer deaths and because of the rate of transmission we will gain natural immunity to it. The South African doctor who discovered it said it's much milder compared to Delta and suggests the UK is panicking.
If I had a choice of who to take notice in that situation it would be the ones viewing from above that's collected all the information from the masses (ONS PHE), not one hospital ward (Doctor).
Doctors treat, they don't keep count.
