Omicron

They're not bringing in any restrictions for a reason.
Sooner or later they have to let it run its course, most people are vaccinated and those who aren't will now have to hope for the best.
Its being allowed to run its course right now - there's only so much government/authorities can do and if it kills several thousand unvaccinated people then they've no one but themselves to blame, lockdowns and shutting down the economy were emergency measures when we had no vaccine or treatments.
Now we do and everyone has been offered it at least three times.
They never announced that they are letting it run wild but it's pretty obvious that they are and rightly so in my opinion.
They knew in late summer/ autumn that a massive wave was coming again as soon as the weather got cooler, hence the booster rollout, my guess is that it was already too late for refuseniks to get completely covered by the time October arrived and now they'll have to fend for themselves.
There's been a few mentions of new antiviral drugs being introduced, these will probably be the only thing they'll be offering to unvaccinated people who have caught it, I wonder if they'll refuse to take them based on Facebook opinions?
Will they balls, they'll be shoveling them down like TicTacs and won't give a crap whether they've been tested or not
 
I think he's not brought in restrictions because if he did he'd lose the public.

I personally prefer to be jabbed and not run the risk of becoming seriously ill,

Not sure the Scottish and Welsh restrictions will have any effect, closing nightclubs and restricting the amount of people allowed to attend football games is going to make any difference, they're just doing something rather than nothing in an attempt to deflect future blame, the virus will spread at the same rate as everywhere else.

Maybe but that's for the electorate to decide, I'd say he's got more than a good chance of being re-elected, the British public love a good battle, Falklands/ Thatcher and Blair/Iraq spring to mind.
The German health dude hit the nail on the head a few months ago when he said everyone would either be vaccinated, have antibodies from having caught the virus or be dead, he knew what was coming just the same as our government knew

So the point to that is, if someone is in say with a broken leg then their tested and found to have Covid and their fully vaccinated their not in hospital because he has Covid their in because they have a broken leg.
Only 3 in 10 are in because of Covid and they are struggling with it. And the vast majority of those who are in hospital struggling with Covid are not fully vaccinated.

Got to agree, the doctor on the icu ward reported patients asking them to be jabbed.
All abit too late believing in all the conspiracy Facebook bolloc#s then death stares them in the face and their begging to be jabbed.

Unfortunately yes, the social media giants have algorithms in place so that those who are apprehensive or unsure about something are bombarded with related content, so they end up forming massive groups of like minded people all feeding each other their own version of 'facts'.
Lots of young people have committed suicide due to joining self harm and anorexia groups with other users encouraging them to harm themselves.

They could have algorithms in place to guide people in the right direction about looking for expert help or finding corroborated facts but then those groups would cease to exist and Facebook would lose revenue.

In short, they gave their lives to Facebook to sell to the highest bidder and got nothing in return apart from a coffin

Today the bs on Social Media doesn't differ much from the bs injected into a majority of households on a daily basis via the media. In the UK you have to pay for it from the BBC and a majority accept it. (One sided reporting).

People shouldn't rely on the media as fact. It's far from it and has its own agendas. They all do. Do your own research.

World seems to have gone a bit crazy and that is an understatement since this whole pandemic started.

The moto today is simply divide and conquer as sad as that is to say.
 
And if any media outlet thought a rival was hawking untruths or misinformation they'd be all over them like a rat on a kipper.
Likewise if any government official offered a media outlet a 'line' to spin to the public, they would gain more credibility by outing that official or political party.
Fun though it is to 'search out' the truth when you can't make your mind up, in almost all cases, all you are looking for is an alternative to the truth, if you searched long enough you would find someone verifying that New year's Day is going to be on March 13th next year, you could also find 'proof' that Joe Biden is from outer space and that the sky is actually red not blue.
Occam's razor (the simplest explanation is the correct one) needs to be implemented here.
There is no agenda, everyone has been offered a way out.
They all know the limitations of the NHS.
They've all known for two years.
Once ICU is full they'll be sent home with a bag of chalk tablets, some people will cry about their suffering, and maybe their deaths.
They need to think a bit more.
Agenda? - no, a virus that is trying to kill you, you were offered a lifeline and chose to go it alone.
Perhaps if they had done their thinking before they were choking to death they may have come to different conclusions
 
So I heard a doctor report live on the whole Covid situation actually stood on the ICU ward. He reported it with no hidden agenda but because that's his job believe it or not. It was on the BBC so should dismiss it ??, or should I seek out the truth from FB and Twitter ?. Right now there's a virus going round and without the vaccine mortuary's would be full of older and vulnerable people. Now you can read into it how you want that is fact. If you wan't to pretend that it's all a lie and 3 elderly people I know are not dead but their in Westminster vaults drinking tea that's up to you.

I have lots of friends who work at the local Hospital some nurses, porters who push the bodies out and 1 or 2 actually clean on the ICU wards. These aren't 17 year old Instagram bloggers or conspiracy theorists their genuine people I've known since school. Their of the same opinion it's real. The wards were Covid patience are the vast majority are full with people not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all. Now if you wan't to dismiss that fact then by all means fill your boots but you have no evidence to prove my facts wrong other than to accuse me or them of lying, and try to Donald Trump me as a lair.

So should I believe what they say ?

Was hesitant to get my booster. As 6 weeks after my second jab I caught covid. Had to have time off work unpaid. Messed me up financially.

Kept getting texts and phone calls of the docs begging me to get the booster.

Missus had to have hers as she's in health care. No choice or lose your job.

After humming and arring about it all I decided to have it.

Three weeks after my booster..... Guess what I have covid again. I ain't been out drinking or shopping.

I've only been to work and gone home. No days off since this bull shit began. No nights out no meals out.

Hardly go anywere. Go for long walks in the middle of no were. Were I see zero people.

And again after the pissing jab im full of covid again. Losing yet more wages that I can't afford to lose.

Getting fed up of this its all a load of bollocks. I won't be letting them stick any more vaccines in me
 
I think that the answer lies in both the vaccine but more importantly the spread. The Aussies are working on a nose spray that basically a couple of sprays up the niffer of someone with Covid it will dramatically reduce the spread of the virus. This for me becomes a game changer because once you get a grip of the velocity of the spread you can slowly stop the rate of infection the figures of infected people will plummet. It's like lockdown in a bottle

Agree with your saying mate.

My brother and his Mrs tested positive for covid and are in quarantine now. Both have had both jabs and boosters. They fall the measures like mask wearing, social distance etc too

Point being they can tell you you need x amount of jabs or boosters but more than likely you will catch covid and test positive even where you take all the precautions.

I myself wear masks still and do social distancing. Had both jabs before but this booster and subsequent ones I won't take. That's my choice.
 
Give up I wear a mask everywhere a fresh one every time, was my hands, avoid people like the plague (always have done lol) . Had my vaccines all three

And hàd it twice. Seen my mates anti vaccine and not masks no nothing. Holidays and on the piss all weekend laughing at me saying I'm a nob for listening to it all.

It looks like the vaccine has no effect on you.
For a small percentage of people, vaccines just don't work.
 
I've a friend early 50's who's been left in a terrible state after Covid pre-vaccine. He has permanent lung damage and from a perfectly healthy guy he now walks with a stick and slow.
Tbh I prefer to be vaccinated rather than run the risk of ending up like him.
Had he had the choice he would have had it and more than likely he wouldn't be the way he is now
Shame because he's a really nice guy
