MANY CONNECTIONS, HELP

@Howardkoch Your ISP Assigned you a public IP address and more than likely it will be a dynamic one so is subject to change.
Each device that connects within your household will be assigned a different internal IP address within the public one given to you by your ISP.
You should be fine using different devices within the same household but just not at the same time with one sub.

Cheers for clearing that up, yes it won't be used simultaneously it will be used on either device at different times so should be fine is the vibes I'm getting 😎

You're wrong, maybe you should read about dedicated STATIC IPs and other ways to bypass IP restrictions set by greedy providers still in the heydays of controlling and limiting access to each device or IP in the hopes of forcing people to buy a connection for every device. Plenty of other ways to get a Static IP but I'll let you look that up. 😏

I don't need to worry about this cat and mouse game anyway, plenty of excellent suppliers out there that aren't miserly and desperate to extract money from their customers.
At the end of the day it dosent cost much to add multi room I think most charge about £25 a year for the extra connection.

Some suppliers say don't use a vpn so you would be in a bit of trouble because they can tell.

Look it's the same as using your own app if you don't like the rules don't sign upto service don't sign up and moan later if you get kicked off.

As for suppliers ripping people off that's a stupid statement at best £60 for all the content you actually get you get.

Again wasn't complaining about the cost of multi room to add an extra connection but an extra connection means the ability to watch in two different rooms at the same time.

The issue was watching with a single connection line in any one room, that should be possible without any issues along with using it at home, work etc. That is not multi room but rather the ability to use any one device at any given time rather than only one unique device and asking the customer to pay for each subsequent unique device when the customer plans on using any one device at a time. That's what I take issue with and thankful that I don't have to deal with providers constantly checking clients, IP address or anything else.

Of course it's best to iron out all these details before signing up and not complain once you do but I'm just advocating to stay away from providers that are hell bent on imposing such restrictions about custom apps, multi room, single IP only per device and more in the first place.

I agree if you move said device around the house. But I have multi screen on main device and a connection for bedrooms etc so I pay for 4 connections

No moving of devices! Let's say you have 4 firesticks in each TV in your home all with tivimate, I'm saying you should be able to enter exactly the same credentials in all the firesticks. Not move any of them. If you paid for 1 connection then you can watch on any one of them at a time. 2 connections (Multiroom) would allow you to watch on any two at the same time. Since you paid for 4 devices you should be able to play something on all four then at the same time without any issues. Apparently some providers you need to pay for each device individually but still watch only one at a time. Hope this makes it clear!

Edit : 4 connections should also allow you to view 4 streams on any one TV if you want in a grid. Can be handy when multiple games are going on. Could also allow you to have 2 streams open on one TV, and 1 more stream each on any of the other 2 TVs. Just want flexibility is all.

Don't know mate but I suppose each supplier would decide.

You can do the same with any providers own app, install it on firestick in lounge, on android tv in bedroom and on smartphone in the pub, put same details in them all then you can watch wherever you are
I know that Mr pabs. Think you should pay for connections on phones

If you are allowed more than 1 device in more that 1 location there is nothing stopping you selling your details to a mate to use. This is what providers are trying to stop and I don't blame them
