You can't as the sub will auto block if 2 devices try and connect and only one connection has been paid for.If you are allowed more than 1 device in more that 1 location there is nothing stopping you selling your details to a mate to use. This is what providers are trying to stop and I don't blame them
Sorry meant if you are allowed 2 connections in more than one location. that is why the restrictions are in place to stop users selling on their details to matesYou can't as the sub will auto block if 2 devices try and connect and only one connection has been paid for.
In same location shouldn't be a issue tbh 🤔Sorry meant if you are allowed 2 connections in more than one location. that is why the restrictions are in place to stop users selling on their details to mates
same location no problem thats multiroomIn same location shouldn't be a issue tbh 🤔
OP have you read ? Bought 1 sub not be watched simultaneously but on two different devices either upstairs at night downstairs at daytime , I'm getting mixed messages it's maybe 60/40 in favour of it being ok .same location no problem thats multiroom
If the buy two separate subs from the same supplier you should be able to use in any location you like and not tied to one public IP address.Sorry meant if you are allowed 2 connections in more than one location. that is why the restrictions are in place to stop users selling on their details to mates
2 subs no problem I was talking about an extra connection (so 1 sub with 2 connections)If the buy two separate subs from the same supplier you should be able to use in any location you like and not tied to one public IP address.
If your supplier does not let you use your one sub on separate devices in the same location, then I would change suppliers as they are being unreasonable imo.OP have you read ? yes I agree, although they both must be on the same IP address (cant have one connected to a vpn and the other not)If your supplier does not let you use your one sub on separate devices in the same location, then I would change suppliers as they are being unreasonable imo.
What is the difference between 2 separate subs same supplier and 1 sub extra connection or is that your version of multi room?2 subs no problem I was talking about an extra connection (so 1 sub with 2 connections)
That's my point there both in same place on same ISP provideryes I agree, although they both must be on the same IP address (cant have one connected to a vpn and the other not)
What about vpn static ip address so they will have the same ip address?yes I agree, although they both must be on the same IP address (cant have one connected to a vpn and the other not)
Any decent server will only allow one 1 ip connection anyway its stops people abusing and taking the piss.Obviously not all providers work the same way but to simplify things they ask you always use the extra connection on the same IP address.
They will generally only be looking for multiroom abuse whilst both connections are in use so if they are and have different IP address the provider will presume you are up to no good
incorrect, 1 connection will be allowed to roam in most casesAny decent server will only allow on 1 ip address anyway its stops people abusing and taking the piss.
Look like we haven’t been using decent servers lolincorrect, 1 connection will be allowed to roam in most cases
lolLook like we haven’t been using decent servers lol
Yes definitely a crude way of treating users and I haven’t had to deal with thankfully.lol
at the end of the day most providers will sell extra connections to be used as multiroom. They will then leave them selves open to customers selling the extra connection for a profit.
You cant blame providers for trying to restrict this from happening so what Moshibeth said is true but rare, its a crude way of restricting customers tho
most find a fairer way ie only restricting the IP if an extra connection is purchased
