Free smarters app is crap if you go for the paying smarters app that actually looks like tivimate app.

Well it's not crap for me, I've been using it on my LG tv for a year now.
No problem if you like the app and it’s working keep using it just keeps crashing on my LG TV that’s why I said it’s a crap app.
Same thing here so I just downloaded the paying version smarters app and it’s a good app looks like tivimate app with the features.

I'm not sure how pro works but provider has to pay to register DNS on smarters website to be able to use the smarters TV LG/Samsung app.
For issues with the app it can be that the TV can't play H.265/HEVC formats. Smart TVs aren't so smart.

At first it didn't work for me either, it wouldn't let me "add user", then I read posts on Reddit about a similar problem with "Smarters Player",
Someone suggested putting a single space before the url, I never expected that to work but it did.
Did you pay the 13 dollers?. I have been using it for a day or so, and it seems fine.
Yes I did pay for the app after the trial.

Why do you prefer Smarters to Tivimate and what features does have over Tivimate?

Are there any free apps on webos is it all a trial and then you have to pay for it.

Yeah I ended up buying an external device for Tivimate because the version of smarters on the LG just isn't there. If people have managed it, I'd like to know how.

I have been trialling the LG Smarters Player app and it doesn’t look like Tivimate imo.
The EPG is completely different as you can’t view multiple channels at once on the EPG and can only view one at a time.
Catchup only goes back three days and the EPG only goes forward 2 days.
You can’t customise the colour scheme either.
Looks pretty similar to the Android version which isn’t great imo.
