GigaBlue Dcolor GD1 Giga TV Mediaplayer Stick 4K PRO Review

The picture is after pressing factory reset twice… it fails.
You can clearly see that recovery is failing after attempting factory reset.
You next step would be attempting to flash the firmware if you can find a copy with Amlogic burning tool.
If you can actually flash the GD1

And if 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz are both enabled on the router would it be best to ring the provider to disable 5Ghz. I have a friend who has over 400mb speed and his Android box IPTV channels are freezing mad. And his supplier has loads of servers.

You would disable 5ghz , which box is it ? What has he tried so far ? Can he hard wire it ? Delete all unused apps, clear caches , remove app / re-install it . Try a different app . Do a full factory restore. Has it ever worked well ? Can you swap boxes for a few days to test them.

Box is Dcolor GD2 4K
I've tried everything with him including what you suggested.
Hard wiring is not an option.
Tried different apps.
It worked perfect in my house using Sky Broadband.
I can't give him my box as I might never see it again. Lol.
He internet provider is Eir.
I told him to ring them to switch off 5Ghz in his router in case it's enabled.
Having both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz enabled can cause problems.
I've just told him how to reset his router.
Maybe that will help.

Is the parental filters etc disabled on account

Steps to Turn Off Eir Parental Controls:
  • Access Router Settings: Open a web browser on a device connected to your Eir network and enter the IP address, usually 192.168.1.1.
  • Log In: Enter the username and password found on the router's sticker.
  • Locate Controls: Navigate to the Security, Access Control, or Parental Controls tab.
  • Disable Settings: Toggle the Parental Controls or web filtering feature to Off or Disable.
  • Save and Reboot: Save changes and restart your router to apply settings.

He doesn’t need to ring , Rs500nutter gave you the instructions how to do it. Try a vpn if it works ok on sky. If it can’t be hard wired try it on a Tv closer to the router

most routers have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz enabled and and when you connect hopefully it goes to best one.
I don't see the problem editing settings in router thats the way it had been done for years and when you go to connect to your wifi you will have choice 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz
you can backup router settings before hand and restore them again.
