You can clearly see that recovery is failing after attempting factory reset. The picture is after pressing factory reset twice… it fails.
Thank you for your help. You can clearly see that recovery is failing after attempting factory reset.
You next step would be attempting to flash the firmware if you can find a copy with Amlogic burning tool.
If you can actually flash them.

That’s if you can’t find a copy of the firmware for GD1.
if no option on the device then you need to setup 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz separate channels on router .HI. Anyone know how to change GD1 4K from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz?

I've tried everything with him including what you suggested.
Hard wiring is not an option.
Tried different apps.
It worked perfect in my house using Sky Broadband.
I can't give him my box as I might never see it again. Lol.
He internet provider is Eir.
I told him to ring them to switch off 5Ghz in his router in case it's enabled.
Having both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz enabled can cause problems.
I've just told him how to reset his router.
Maybe that will help.
most routers have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz enabled and and when you connect hopefully it goes to best one.Box is Dcolor GD2 4K

Just rename them and select the one you want.I wonder if there is an app that you can install on this box to choose between 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz and vice versa?
You do it in a router mate. That's what deals with with these things.I wonder if there is an app that you can install on this box to choose between 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz and vice versa?
