River cobbler any one came across this fish

anyone had a chomp on this as at the moment the supermarkets have got it at £2 for 2 decent sized fillets.

dee have a look at this but DON'T take to much into the "scare tactics" used if you know what I mean. :)

I like the fish and it's difficult to get here for some reason.... could have something to do with the fact that we're located about 10 hours from any source of "import" for Ocean run fish or import problems with the fish. ;) Try to get the "lighter" of the fillets if you can... less gamy and better tasting if you ask me. :)

oh yes.. it's dang good with a batter, beer or otherwise... very similar to cod.. better if you ask me for some reason.. maybe it's because it's so dang cheap when you can get it... less than half the price of cod NOT on sale and sometimes about 1/4 the price on sale... it's a brilliant fish if you ask me... ENDO may have some input.. he's pretty good with fish and such.. ;)
