How to flash Arnet Kryptview - Firmware Loading Guide / Tutorial .

Ally

Here is what you need to do if you keep getting "download not requested"

first download the prolic driver here

Plug you lead into a USB slot on your computer.

If the driver has been correctly installed it should show down the bottom right of the screen as a plug and play device.

Go to start - devices and printers.

From top to bottom you should have, devices, printers and faxes and if the driver is installed
correctly you should have a third catagory showing "unspecified", there it should show Prolific USB to Serial Com Port (COM 7) for example.

Right click on the icon - properties - hardware - properties - port settings - changes the bits per second to 115200

Save the changes and exit.

Use the loader program and set the com port in the loader to COM 7 in this example.

Switch the box off by the switch at the back, load in the BIN file hit the download and switch the box on at the back.

Where the USB lead meets the Null sometimes you get a bit of a crap connection
you may have to give it a few wiggles

Good Luck.

dont overlook the obvious kv has to be powered off at back first, press download and switch box on after 1 sec after pressing download!

hello i have a problem my iconnector dose not connect to the kryptview a750 box, it was being used at my brothers house , everything was working, now that i want to use at my house, the i connector only gives two lights, i dont know what to do? i tried flash the box but it gives me errors on the loader can somone please help?

what firmware is on box, check first in menu-system info -/?? its a date you are looking for, maybe box and iconn need a reboot to connect again ,router and modem may also want a reboot.

firmware: 02/05/2012, just want the icconector to work so can get channels working, how do u reboot box and iconn, i have factory default the box and still hasnt work. i have a virgin media hub that i switched off and on many times, sorry i am new to this so i dont know what to do

looks like your firmware is upto date,if you factory reset did you rescan and get channels stored,is the iconnect on a wired cable to internet if yes try powering off iconn off and on a few times as it should have more than 2 lights lighting.

it is connected with eathernet wire from my superhub. i have switched it off many time and switched it on. it stilll shows 2 green lights. i have. factory reset it and rescanned all the channels but they come scrambled.

have you powered off vm hub and iconn together as in off for 30 secs then on,iconn at times can be a bugger to connect.

can i send my box to one of you guys to flash? i'll pay for postage
I can hear the cries of relief as someone far away can now pass on the noose just ready for the next... "Download not requested" and can now relax and enjoy.."scrambled or no video" but worst is "no or poor signal"... i am joking about the last 2... Happy viewing bro... TL... thats Top loader..aka Ted Luxston...! and remember..Someone,somewhere is about to go into maplins..!! lol

Hi guys, just wanted to thankyou all for the help and advise on this site. Setting up the keyptview wouldnt have been possible without you and the null modem cable!! Thanks Rob

No problem atrammo..we are here to help..and now happy viewing..(just dont tell the SV/freeview viewers) sorry SV but you know its all in jest..!! How is TOWIE on itv2..!! whilst i am watching MOTO GP on Eurosport 2..!!

as said elsewhere you were using a 2011 file which is old and you needed to do a s/w update online to upgrade your firmware, let box reboot before touching anything, then factory reset/rescan from direct feed and choose correct net id to scan from.
