So why are Sky still applying this to more channels before they have fixed the problem? It makes no sense. They are only going to annoy more customers.

You want us to listen to what gillster11 says. OK. He said a few days ago that no more channels would be affected. Within 90 minutes, 4 more channels had gone.

He then said "sports wont be going that im sure of..." & now we have lost SS4HD.

Then "Is there anybody on this thread that actually work in the the main R&D department of Sky Uk well well enough said"

I'm not sure if gillster11 is claiming to work for Sky, or whether his server friend works for Sky. Either way, he is spreading misinformation.
 
Can see where your coming from, just an observation from what he said and thats where I thought he worked too, will be interesting to see if he returns will anymore statements and take it from there.

More chance he works for sky card pairing dept ,,, it's over for hd move on enjoy sd until the next move ,

there is nothing on sky site as well as it seems this is to do with people on OLD boxes who have not updated and nothing to do with the new pairing. Just users who are holding out and losting channels as they are not on NEW BOXES

It's all linked tho. Exact same channels going missing. I have an old box and don't want to swap it because there's no supported way to transfer recorded programs
 
Everybody needs to calm a wee bit as you know what your doing is illegal so don't be getting to upset and you will get you channels back no doubt honestly sky do alot of illegal stuff as well as in pricing but that has been changed over the last few years with half price packages for people who threaten to leave and they know c/s will be around forever so this is a tempter just to get people back to sky plus they know there's a fix already in Jordan and one in Turkey so they must try something to get some custom back and when they drop the hd charge soon they will change codec back

It's fine having an opinion of what you think will happen, but making it sound like you actually know the score when you don't has a habit of biting you on the arse.
Listening to other people's nonsense and repeating it as though it's gospel is just as dodgy
 
Maybe this is inside info but on 12 sites not heard this and yes I know of 5 fixes but costly

Satman knows his stuff listen to him well Sky know there are fixes and yeah all fixes will be expensive but if there's a fix there's a way
 
i have seen on other forums that there is a fix for sky italia however, they claim it is very much underground at the moment. however, i have seen no real proof so it could be like our friend gillster ideal rumours.

My complaint is that the exact same channels are disappearing from my Thomson box. I don't want a new box until they provide a means to transfer recorded programs. So I don't know what you regard as illegal - I would sugest what Sky are doing is illegal by removing services while still charging me

Just a thought but how do Sly know that by making these changes currently blocks card sharing unless they have say a blade box or F5 setup in the office to test?

Unlikely to be illegal - more like a possible breach of contract, a civil matter.
You'd need to persuade ofcom to do something about it or sue them

Their primary aim of the project is not to attack card sharing [that's just a welcome by-product of it], it's to enable new services and more control.
They don't need a Skybox to know what the outcome for CS server will be, it's obvious - they'll still have a few kicking around though.
