Hi Wooshman

I have just installed your alpha build, all works great, I had a problem with there being no sound initially, after I ran the country setting I restored my settings because her in doors likes bbc 1 and itv local channels on 101/103 rather than the HD channels. Once I restored my settings again the volume worked fine.

Grog68....All Wooshbuild versions are built with the volume turned down as they are done late at night.
Long time users are aware of this as it was highlighted in earlier versions but with no supporting notes until final release for this build then new users would not be aware.

Hi Woosh, I flashed the 4.04 and liked the new Slyk v4 in the picture frame on the boot screen...... until I restored my settings that is!
It turns out that when you make a settings backup it includes the mvi files as well in etc/enigma2.
Don't know why this happened unless the system monitored that they were new files because they;re not located in the default location?
Might be worth making these excluded files to backup in versions 5,6,7 & 8 tomorrow? lol

We are aware of that problem as openatv have made some changes between v5.1 and v5.3.
This will be resolved in the final release of wooshbuild v4 (99) at the current rate !!...lol
 
Never mind mate, there were bound to be a few niggles in what is a fantastic build with some great new features. Congrats to you and the guys for all your hard work :congrats:

Latest version..all working well, v4 skin looks nice although I am not sure what is different ..that might be the vin rouge clouding my vision though, fantastic work ..spook slick

I'm sorted now - flashed 4.004 - restored settings from openatv 5.3 - latest tweaks configured - reboot and new backup settings.
 
Yeah I fixed my forgetful error this morning and uploaded the new image. I kept the same version number as Beni might have had a heart attack trying to count to 5.

So, as far as I am aware, at present we have a stable build with all initial problems, issues, comments fixed.

As for restoring settings, I tried settings from WooshBuild v2.5, 3 and 3.03 and all flashed without a problem and the new boot screens stayed in place as they should have done.



Please can you all test out the new plugins, including changing your Country selection and then doing a NIT scan and report any error back. We have tested time and time again but that is only two boxes.
Please try out the IPTV Player Icon and updater plugin by resetting the hosts to default and then running it again to update the list. (I know it it a pain as the gui restarts each time)

Adding series link in quick succession. Why you would want to do this is beyond me but people said there was a problem with v3.03 with the box locking up when you added them one after another. Now is the time to find out if this build is the same. Not sure I can fix it though if it does play up.

And in general, give it a hammering please.
 
I've tried all the new plugins and they work fine. The IPTV one is great, saves lots of trawling through rubbish!
I also just manually re-added all my series links because my old backup autotimer was empty and they all went in without any issue. :yes!:
 
No idea if it's worth passing on the IPTV player hosts thing. Whoever has control of it might want to look at the kisscartoon plugin? Seems to have been down for a while now (no links seem to work anymore)

Yes, the IPTV icons and updates is a good thing.... the downside is Beni decides what we have in our lists.... if we p*ss him off we may get left with You Tube lol.

Anything which makes using these boxes easier is the direction we are trying to go with WooshBuild. All the time things can be nearly automated can't be a bad thing.
 
Hi Wooshman, I think somebody else has already mentioned but when changing channels I get a delay of a few seconds which I didn't get on v3.

It's only when using number pad, if you change through the history zap, or from an epg it's almost instantaneous.

Not sure if that's already been fixed in v004 though as I haven't flashed that yet still on v003.

Kisscartoon is working fine. However, it is not working using the kisscartoon link but works fine using the openload link when the stream option comes up.
I will only remove from the menu if no links work but as long as one connection is stable then i will leave in for users to decide for themselves.

I'll check again. Last time I tried it I was getting redirected to some sort of openload link stealing thing but i'll look

OK Now I get what you mean. Not everything is working with openload but some is so that good enough

Go to Menu > Setup > Usage and GUI > Channel Selection Settings and change channel zap delay mode from user defined to standard.

That was bugging me for a while, can't remember seeing the user defined setting before.
 
Whilst i do check any new iptv links that appear on the daily updates, i don't always have time to recheck old links that i have switched off previously for any reason.
If members find one that they feel is worth including back on the options then please post or send me a pm and i will check it out.

GRR.. my timer went wonky again.. it managed to set the formula 1 quali and race on not only sky sports f1, but also sky sports 1 HD and channel 4.. it's the only one it's doing it with though so it's probably some quirk with that autotimer specifically.
