they should be showing hd first unless you changed channel swap to no menu, setup, service searching, autobouquets marker, providers and change sky uk channel swap to yes then start scan

Had exactly this issue too and didn't think I'd turned on swap! Weird! Swapped back anyway and all good now. Just maybe one to check maybe!

I know i hadn't changed anything, and I know the HD channels were there the other day, so it's a mystery to me, but it's all sorted now.

Use bioheads image this will only work with both sat and cable

no for my this image it needs both sat and cable for bioheads it needs a cable connection. How can you setup the box without having the tuner setup? you'll be best taking it to your "friends" then setup there

One small problem he lives in Glasgow and i'm in Newcastle
 
Is it possible to add channels in the iptv player i.e exodus and other movie/sport channels and possibly delete channels i wont use?
 
You can't add channels but you can hide sections go to the configuration icon in iptv player then service configuration and switch the links you don't want off I've already switched a lot off so you could switch some on to see if there working again. Once done press green to save exit iptvplayer and reboot box
 
Is there any instructions on how we set up the box to stream from outside the home. I've currently got Dream Player installed on my phone, which works brilliantly from home when connected to the same network, but not when out and about?
 
Is it possible to get the sky sd channels as well with this image? I've installed it and the sd channels are set to be replaced with VM hd channels so there are no sd channels to fall back on in case the VM line is down for some reason
 
You should have vm hd channels replacing the sky hd so you should have the sky sd versions aswell

Okay will check again but I'm sure last time I checked i had two lots of HD channels and one lot didn't work. If that is the case will a rescan fix this?
 
Let me know what channels they are there was an issue with the movie channels but that was sorted before the last update
 
Ahh yes. It is the movie channels.
Sports channels are fine. Problem with the last update was that the skin was all funny - no matter what skin I installed they were all dark and came up wrong size and there was a line going down at the first 15min marker. Don't know why that happened but tried resizing and everything but couldn't get it fixed so reverted to previous version which looks and works great - apart from the movies bit but that doesn't bother me too much. Any idea why that happened? Might wait for next update before trying again. That does bring one question to mind - if I update using the new method by ftp the update to media/hdd do I need to do the install hdd part again and initialise the drive etc as this wipes the hdd? Or can that part of the guide be ignored?
 
The sky movies hd and sd channels are fine on the last update. I've only just noticed the line on epg I'll look into it you shouldn't be having dark issues or size issues with the skins I've tried slyk1hd and that's fine apart from the line. When you do update using the ftp method yes you can skip the hdd setup

for the sky movies issue on the old image use this custom mix unzip this View attachment sat_282_sky_uk_CustomMix.rar and ftp the sat_282_sky_uk_CustomMix.xml to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/custom then rescan abm

Known bugs:
Some Samsung TVs have an auto dimming feature that you cannot turn off. As this is a dark skin, there might be problems with some screens automatically changing contrast and auto dimming.
The only way around this is to set your TV to movie mode and tweak all the colours and brightness for that setting. It's not an ideal solution, but blame Samsung.

Thanks mate. I will give that a try and I see what you mean about the line. I think the menu on the new skin looks a bit big I prefer the HD skin so will stick to that for time being. I have a Sony TV so not TV issue - I recall trying to use the HD skin on the new install and the size and the line was still there so had to completely reinstall the old version of your image and now fixed. Spent a good few hours on it. I appreciate the great work and the help you guys give. Thanks to all for help and advice received.

You have no constructive posts, why not introduce yourself in the intro section, then wait for the server to reset (about 20 mins) , then your name will turn blue, and you will be free to download it
