Upgrading zgemma star 2s to?

Want to upgrade the zgemma star 2s to something else, just a bit slow, I like the enigma epg, I haven't set this zgemma up with IPTV as I just assumed it would be too laggy.

Thoughts on what to upgrade to?

If you want to keep it cheap try the H2S, should be a few knocking around second hand

With the demise of Satellite, if you have the option of Cable, that is what you should do.
If it is IPTV you are wanting to use, maybe you should steer away from sat boxes, and concentrate on android boxes, or something similar, it will depend on your budget.

Your zgemma star 2s will work ok with IPTV if you flash it with iPabTV image
instead of openatv, just search on here

Upgrade to ZGEMMA H5.2S

The 2s plays iptv well, it is a bit slow when first booted 5-10 mins as it downloads the epg and may crash. H2s is much better, plus you have tuners for the fta and what's remaining of sly cs. ipab build runs on openatv.

Hi but does a UK IPTV sub on 2s offer anything more than the VM channels I get and the IPTV plugin already installed on zgemma 2S?

So you recommend just going with the iPabTV image for IPTV on the 2s? I have another new house built as well that does not have a satellite dish, so I don't think there's a point for that house installing a dish, so of all the android boxes what do you recommend for there?

If it's just for iptv and you like enigma boxes the Zgemma i55 would be an option, can stilll play around with skins etc like the H2s but it will out perform the H2s running IPTV, at under £60 new it's fairly cheap.

Questions to room.
I have android box a mk box a mxq box all gathering dust and I'm using a zgemma H2s at the moment. . Aa cam lines seem to be dieing off which of my box's should I be using for iptv .
I like the epg an ability to record on H2s. ?

IF you want the box to look & function in the same way with the same interface you need to stay with an Enigma2 box (H2s is Enigma2)
IF you go the android route: many android boxes out perform the H2s in speed/spec but you wont have the same interface/skin

if you prefer simple plug and play non-satellite then MAG boxes are ideal and work perfect with IPTV

Didnt say I recommended the 2s ,what i said was theres no need to upgrade it , I would recommend something faster if buying new ,like the H2s or even an android box with perfect player would give you a half decent epg and theres loads of apk's you can install on it

Thing for me right now is making a decision between buying a Cable box for VM, or going with IPTV.

buying a new box & line will be dearer than just adding IPTV subscription to your current box (if box will accept iptv) but if money isnt your main factor Id 100% say go cable if you can
